The greatest QB evaluator ever? Not just in determining who is a good QB, but in bringing in a QB that complements the system, and discarding a QB, when he no longer fits.

I think there is enough evidence that, except for Carroll, he would have moved on from Wilson.

I think there was reasonable concern that Darnold was a product of a system, and was a lateral move from Geno.

I wonder if anyone will ever sign/ trade for a Seahawks QB after the utter failures that Wilson and Geno have become.

Just something to think about during the long, cold bye week.

Oh yeah, and Go Texans. Geaux Saints.
Next week will be tough to know who to root for Rams or Digits.

There is of course also evidence that Schneider was high on Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen when they were in college. (Russell Wilson's agent complained when he heard that Schneider had gone to Wyoming to scout Allen.) So yes, he seems to know what a good QB looks like.

Probably Walsh or Wolf is #1 (tough to beat Montana-Young), but yeah he's been good. A few misses (Howell, Whitehurst, Milroe), not that anyone is perfect.

Good points.

I wonder if JS couldve really and I mean epically fleeced someone when #3 was at top value. Pete couldn't let go.

And regarding Darnold . Even if he were a lateral move , it's a better move for the team. I think JS saw that , I think Geno Smith saw the writing on the wall and wanted out.

Milroe isn't necessary a miss. He's 7 games into his rookie season . I know he had that failed play but I'm sure he'll have more chances .

For real. There's no way Milroe — an obvious project QB who's been in the league less than half a season, is third on the depth chart, and has had all of three regular-season snaps — can rationally be considered "a miss."
