Also, I love how Pete looks up at the end and the person holding the phone quickly put it down. One thing Pete knows is that John does not have the best track record for trades so he’s thinking he can get a player for under market value from John. Lord knows John has way overpaid in trades for players.

There's a lot of competition, but this has to be right up there with the most nothing stories in recent memory that legitimately led to fan speculation. The closest thing to news in this story is that the plane didn't crash.

What some people think actually happened:

[Pete sitting on the plane, thinking] This is going to bug me. Where do I know that guy from? Come on Pete, think! ...Oh ****! That's the head manager guy of the Seahawks, John Something! Alright, Pete, you wanted an opportunity to prove your worth and here it is. Wow... won't Mr. Davis be impressed when I tell him I made a trade with a real life football guy!

They probably just talked about normal people stuff, like what tv shows they're watching or how much of an overrated douche Russell Wilson is. Pete and John have a long-established relationship. If Pete really wants to inquire into possible trades, he would probably just call him up.

It is pretty cool that Pete flies coach though. A man of the people. He was probably asking those sitting around him what sport they coach.
