Noticing that the Rams and Cards so far seem to have been fortunate with minimal injuries, a search of an up-to-date injuries tracker to verify this led me to:

http://www.sportingnews.com/nfl/injuries

Each player name hyperlinked to more info. I clicked Percy Harvin and read that there was, at one time, concern that his hip would need to be "reshaped." Maybe no longer, but that was a surprise to see as I hadn't heard about it elsewhere. Odd that he is listed as "day to day" when we know he's out 'til late fall. Is there a better injury tracker out there I wonder.

It's still insanely early, most teams don't have notable injuries to impact starters before the first preseason game.

IMO, the injuries to Seattle and SF have been overblown a bit. We had the NFL's most efficient offense last year with the same exact 11 guys we currently have. In the case of SF, Boldin will help limit the damage at WR, and even if their passing game struggles, they still have an elite running game. Seattle and SF are the NFL's two deepest teams, so I think they are far more resilient to injury setbacks.

I think we are still conditioned by the Tim Ruskell days to be terrified of injuries. Those Tim Ruskell teams were good in theory if everyone stayed healthy, but had paper thin depth and several injury prone starters at key positions. These days we have far less reason to be concerned about injury luck. I hardly even pay attention to the injury reports anymore, and there are even some positions where I think injury could be a blessing in disguise because our backups are so promising.

There was no worry or concern on my part. I'm entirely cognizant of the reassuring buffer our depth provides. And I have for some time now especially enjoyed being a fan of my favorite team for this reason and your reason I quote above.

It's indeed fairly early, but depth or not, still notable that two NFCW teams are so far not seeing any major injuries (that I'm aware of) - hopefully no more major TC injuries occur to any team, unlikely as that is.
