Reminds me of that cringe-worthy ad that the NFL ran last year - supposedly spoofing the notion that the league 'scripted' the games - the one with DK in it.

They were spitballing and everyone is like "Hey, yea, that's a great idea, we should do that". I remember thinking at the time: "This is EXACTLY what fans fear that you are doing - why are you advertising this?!".

More than anything, I just wish the refs would use more discretion before throwing a flag. If the infraction did not/was not going to effect the outcome of the play, don't throw it. If the pass is uncatchable, if the hold was on the other side of the line on a running play, don't throw it. I see this too often for my tastes, and it disrupts the flow of the game.
