We would have cheerleaders in the armed forces. In sports, like in war, enthusiasm will only push you for a bit. It is diligence, discipline, and commitment that wins the war. As a matter of fact unbridled optimism in the face of insurmountable odds will have the opposite effect. Is the team there yet?

P.S. I have never served, but in talking with those who have served, I learned they they do not like BS blown up their back side. They want the facts and to get on with their job, no sugar coating.
I apologize if I have offended anybody who actually served as these are the real HEROES of this country.

Pete Carroll needed to read Bobby Knight's book. The Power of Negativity.

It points out all of the downsides of Pete Carroll. And Pete had nothing to do with the book of course. It's just shows the pitfalls of Pete's style.
