I made a pact in 1979 with a friend, that when the Hawks win the SuperBowl we would get tattoos.
He passed of cancer 2 years later at 20 years old.
I will hold up my end of the bargain.
I will also buy the jersey of the MVP.
GoHawks.

Just read your post Pmed, great story man. This is the year! Some free advice: don't get it on the noggin (it hurts) :D

I will avoid the head. My line of work forces me to be a tad more reserved.
Still trying to come up with something cool to honor my buddy and the Hawks.

I will probably get the cops called on me for running out into my yard and screaming like a mad man.

Parade to follow for sure.

Which jackass will call the cops on someone who is celebrating a Seahawks Super Bowl win!! Don't worry pal, those cops will most probably arrest the damn caller. You scream as crazy as you can! Lol

Go Hawks!
Man, you got guts. I have Seahawk ink on both shoulders and most of my back -- I was thinking about having a helmet logo done on my head, but I'm not even close to working up the nerve to do that.

Nice story about your father and your Seahawks stein.

I think I will probably sit and appreciate that I finally got to see it happen. After all these years, it will seem surreal.

Depends on what is being said and if your neighbor understands the context. We used to have a member on the old board who went by "Ravenhawk" He recounted a story about watching a game during the Holmgren area stretch when we had terrible pass pro. He said he kept yelling "USE THE SHOTGUN!" at the top of his lungs. Next thing he knew the cops were knocking at his door!  :snack:

Pour a double Crown Royal on the rocks, sit back and watch Sports Center, NFL Gameday and the like and basically wallow in the victory I've waited 38 seasons to celebrate. Might even smoke a bit of herb which I only do a couple of times a year anymore. Will spend a great deal of time on the phone with friends and relatives talking about it too.

The next day I will begin a shopping spree that likely won't end for 6 months purchasing every stinking thing I can get my hand on that says "Seahawks Super Bowl Champions". I will also re-watch the DVR'd game pretty much at least once a week until they win another one.

Probably cry, drink myself into a stupor while taking in all the highlights, and take the next day off of work.

I might need to get a victory cigar, too, as I only have a cigar once or twice a year.

Jersey of the MVP? That's a good idea. I like that. True friend to still hold your end of the deal. Maybe get two tatts. One for him and for you.

I will stay inside the stadium for all of the post-game celebration then spend as long as possible in the Metlife parking lot celebrating with all the Seahawks fans until they kick us out then try to find my way back home.

Probably will also have about 50 text messages to read & respond to.

May end up with 2. Having a hard time coming up with 1 tat to honor both. I've been marinating the idea a Year or two, if you can imagine. :)

Fall to my knees, let my eyes roll into the back of my head, and ascend into heaven.

...then have a beer.

I won't be cheering, obviously, but there will be a part of me that will say "good for you Seahawks... good for you".

Your first Super Bowl win in team history. When this happened for the Saints, I was very happy for the fans. I'd feel the same for you guys. I wouldn't mind seeing 3 of the 4 AFC teams win it either... but not the Patriots...

Definitely NOT the Patriots. I've had an assfull of Boston fans over the past 10 years, they're insufferable after all these titles.

I'll cry, pump my fists in the air over and over again, run around my yard screaming "We are the champions" then sit down drink a beer and enjoy a victory cigar.
