I'd almost rather he doesn't reach that milestone.
Sorry, but wins/losses are all I care about. If it takes him throwing for 250-300 yds/game to win, fine. But if we can win with him throwing for 150-200 yds/game, I'm good with that, too. Actually better, because that means we're playing Seahawks football, and not playing catchup or trying to keep up in shootouts.
Fantasy stats mean nothing to me. I care not a whit about them.
I rather he does. Let the Defense do what it can, and we know it can downright dominant like the rest of them.
But its better for this team to make a BIG statement in these last 4 games. And I just want to see this team revved up and firing on all cylinders, holding nothing back, and just going for the throat every play whether its on Offense, Defense, or Special Teams.
I would love to see the Offense average like 425 yards, 30 points in these last four weeks. 250-300 Passing/ 125-175 Rushing. And I would love to see the Defense dominant and hold opponents to 27 (6.25 average) or fewer points in the last 4 games to end the season at an even 16 ppg or less in Scoring Defense. I want to see the Special Teams ball out.
Because thats going to WIN games... and that is going to keep the NFC Best up in the night... scared out of their minds if they have to face this team.
Wilson can average 250 yards, 2-3 TDs a game finish with 4,000 yards, 30+ TDs. Doesn't mean the Seahawks are going to do it in shoot-outs or having to pass to catch up. It could just as well mean they are executing their game plan, dominating the opponent, getting splash plays on special teams, forcing teams to go 3 and out on Defense, or creating Turnovers thus giving Wilson and Company more opportunity to make plays.
I want to see Russ push this threshold, I want to see him take over, I want to see him dominate so much, that teams don't have an answer, I want every Play-Off team to fear the Seahawks Offense and the QB that is Russell Wilson.
Wilson in his last three is averaging a 75+ Comp%, 330-340 Total Yards, 4 TDs, 0 Ints and like a 130+ QB rating a game. I hope he continues to ball out.
People are looking at that 4,000 yard mark as a mile stone. I want him to blow that away.
I want him to end the season with:
70+ Comp%
5,000+ Total Yards
35+ Total TDs to only 7-9 Ints
110+ QB rating
And I want him to be that elite and unstoppable in the Post-Season, and win another Superbowl with the Offense riding his hot hand.
Then years from now, people will look back and just be amazed just how underrated and awesome Russell Wilson really was especially for a QB in just his 4th season.
It will also shut up the whole just game manager talk and transcend him to bonafide elite status, and perhaps maybe perhaps, I can read articles and not see like 80% of comments of just regurgitated hateful unintelligent ignorance.
