Looks like a boom or bust, has great outside burst and speed but the NFL is faster, doesn't look like he has mnuch size, smaller they College corners by what it looks like. not a threat inside from what you see here, not seeing him break tackles just runs away from them and needs blockers to get into the clear. This looks like his freshman year mostly, so maybe he added some good weight and more power.

Yes watched some more and he looks thicker later and they used him inside more, showed some breaking tackles and leg push, good receiver also.

I love how great we've been at drafting running backs and receivers in lower rounds - Walker was 41st, Charbonnet was 52, Carson was 249th, Rawls was undrafted. Penny was the highest recently drafted, and he was kind of a bust. We've had several other lower round running backs that turned out okay. And as the 'Wiz' said - we're a desirable team that good players should want to play for, at reasonable contracts. We got more out of Kupp and Lawrence than anyone (but us) expected. Others will follow and feel rejuvenated as Seahawks.

I'm completely okay with letting Walker go, if it means putting more effort into other players. IMO you have to take care of the defensive backs like Witherspoon who play smart every single play. Really intelligent focused backs are the hardest players to replace. As a Seahawks fan I was sad when Sherman went to S.F. You don't want your defensive backs thinking about their contracts when they're one-on-one with Puka. Which is why I also say cut Woolen.

So basically, every time a guy is up for a contract, get rid of him. Not exactly a great way to run a team, and not exactly a great way to keep winning. Also, expecting every guy to take a discount isn't reality, at all.

Not sure anyone is saying that. Also, paying huge money for a running back doesn't always work out (see: Shaun Alexander). Love K9, but remember his injuries, and can he carry a full load all season long? We don't know.

I know they're not saying it, but it's how I am kind of interpreting it. And I'm actually commenting more on JSN, Spoon, etc.
But yeah, this is a K9 post. Hoping he's back, at the right number. Then again, my def. of the right number is probably higher than some. And that's cool too. It's not my money

Keep your eyes on this guy:

Same height as K9, but probably needs to add some weight (he's 175 compared to K9's 212). He's fresher and younger than a lot of other RB's in the draft, played 4 years in college. He's a good receiver and returner. Unfortunately, he also mimics K9 in the injury department. But he's dangerous with the ball in his hands. Don't know how he is as a blocker. I can see JS getting this guy, after addressing RB in FA.

Well at 175, I"m not sure he blocks anyone.

You can draft a guy that is in the same mold as Charbonnet and Seattle (should be) if the offensive system elements stays the same with the same offensive line blocking concepts, theoretically, should have similar production numbers as what it was when it was K9/Charbonnet.

The formula for controlling the explosive throws and field position on defense will not change.

A rookie RB tandem can equally find success, I believe it!

Singleton is my RB3 I do think his #1 attribute is his ability as a 1 cut and go runner which is what you want in a wide zone runner. He has good size 6 ft 220 lbs

Still don't get the Price hype, I'm hoping for Washington or Singleton. A little more speed at RB would be nice but we shouldn't be desperate for it. This draft should be about who falls to us.

No teams were really worried about Charb, which is why they started to go with K9. It's very likely they Started Carbs due to K9's contract looming and needed to know if Charbs could handle the load. I doubt any team is going to worry about a rookie tandem. KC tried it, all that happened was Mahommes being targeted, injured and a bad season.

Charbs produced and got 3rd down carries because he can block, it was
a timeshare for a reason, K9 for over half the season was not pulling his
weight.
You can go ahead and deny it but it was there for all to see, he did much
better later in season, got paid and see ya.

Washington draws the most interest from me.

I think his projection influences me a bit there (later round grab).

Have to agree with OP. JS has been pretty phenomenal in finding backs later on.

With the limited pics we have this year, I’d be a bit surprised if we take one at all…not what I would do but, there’s a lot of good things being said about Holani, Wilson, Kmacs recovery…

Interestingly enough, Kmac averages more yards than K9 and Charb. What can he do when healthy?
