This is the type of year every championship needs.
Tons of adversity.

Tough schedule.

The development of belief in ourselves.

The emergence of an outstanding quarterback.

An offense with an identity.

A top-5 defense.

A legitimately deserved playoff birth and road play-off win.

Almost every monkey from the beginning of the season is off our back.

Now it is time for the Super Bowl.

This was byfar and away the most entertaining season I have ever witnessed as a fan, and in my heart I know that this is the beginning of a golden age. GO HAWKS!!

At the end of the day. Football is an escape from reality for several Sundays out of the year. 4 hours to forget problems and cheer for something, the result of which has no tanglible effects on my life. As a physician - I need that - and this team provided it for me in spades.

Like I said in a previous post....we lost ALL our games this year by a TOTAL of 26 points. How in the world can you not be excited about that and look forward to next year?!!

I agree especially with Russel's work ethic and drive. Next year we play the Falcons at the Clink after our own bye. Think of that. Makes me smile already.
