If it is actually real, I would totally understand and empathize.
Not saying the defensive side is PERFECT, but they are asked and tasked to do the damn near impossible.

I'm not panicked, but I can feel like I'm on a cliff with a flood coming. I'm not so sure Cable and Bevell aren't a package 'deal'. If Tom gets his wack ass bounced, does Bevell immediately lose his bad habits that may or may not be directly tied to Cable's mess? Don't know, don't want to waste Russell and Doug's prime waiting to find out. The problem is, who do we replace them with?

Okay, I'm panicked. God bless you Superbowl 48!

Oh yeah. I understand it. The D was pretty much lights out until it got gassed, and the pathetic offense couldn't even score one touchdown against the..............Packers lol

I've (we've) read and heard this a lot. Many times before.

Cable and Bevell are still on the team and they won't be going anywhere.

(It doesn't mean I'm backing them, just sayin'....)

These guys are human. How could the defense not resent the offense for giving them zero support while the defense does all it can to keep the team in the game?

As an aside, the oline should have been charged with more holding. I'm saying that I would have LOVED IT! At least I can tell that you are trying. I watched Luke Jokel totally just WHIFF on his block and then turned the other way and act like he was going to block someone who wasn't even there. If there wasn't such easy access to glorious minty medicine in this state I'd be absolutely livid. It's actually rather hilarious smh. I gotta laugh to keep from crying. If I hear the same song and dance from Pete this week, I just might puke.

By knowing the D is getting the majority of the $$ and assets on their side of the ball for one.

Prime example. Oline needs help and they go "all out" and give them Joeckel, Dline needs help and they get our 1st pick then also Richardson. Moves like that, create the situation.

Every great defense that has to carry an inept offense eventually resents them.

Defense is exhausting and the game rules are slanted against them. Go look at what the Ravens would say about their defense.

It causes schisms and it probably doesn't help Wilson jumps in the spotlight every chance he gets. (an app Wilson? Really?!?)

No way we load this all on the D and the D doesn't start to resent our toothless offense constantly 3 and outing or kicking FGs in every RZ opportunity

I can understand it too but the blame should absolutely not be shifted on Russell. It should be Bevell, Cable, and the OL.

Bevell has to be the least imaginable mind in the NFL. He can't adjust to what defenses are doing. If something isn't working he will continue to stubbornly go with it. Why can't he design plays to roll Wilson out of the pocket and make plays off the edge of the defense? Or when a defense is being over agressive because they know their line sucks he continues to draw up long developing pass patterns or runs the ball right into the overcrowded box. It's painfully obvious they're going to run the ball on first down 9 out of 10 times. Most of the time it will be for a short gain of a yard or two. The others it will be a loss of three.

Window closing on some key players. They are beyond SB caliber. Offense holding them back badly. Understandable

Human nature says there's got to be some sort of resentment I would guess.

Yep, and too, we just went out and got another Pro-Bowler to enhance the D-Line, and we've done what? to bolster our shitty O-Line?
The Packers Defense was having a good laugh at RW's pathetic O-Line protection.
I don't know what Pete has in his bag of tricks, but he's going to HAVE TO shift gears, or break out an industrial size can of Durashine, and get to polishing that TURD.

Well we paid Britt and Joeckel and have been making it rain with OL draft picks.
It isn't lack of attention it's the guy picking and coaching the players. JS showed with Britt he's perfectly willing to sign a decent player and desperately overpay a meh guard in Joeckel.
It'll be like this as long as cable is here. We will never draft high enough for a sure thing tackle and cable had no chance at all to identify or select one.

Just to clarify, it's a #2, pick, right? Not a #1?

And it's not like the offense hasn't gotten help. Harvin and Jimmy spring to mind.

How can the defense, that eats up most of the cap space, be mad at some players who are only there because we can't afford better?

Because regardless, these are actual NFL PLAYERS on offense. If Walsh wasn't on his A-Game today, the only points scored would've been by the defense (those flags were bogus and BIASED as hell).
