I've been watching Jesse W. on the .com feed and I can't see him making the squad. He is very high cut and has sticks for legs. That's going to make him a target for cut blocks(which they don't practice against each other.) Even without cut blocks the guy is spending a lot of time on the ground. Today, during 11 on 11, I saw him dive to the ground as soon as the ball was snapped, before the offensive line could even engage him. He was clearly trying to protect his knee. I don't know, I've been wrong before...what do you guys think?

At times he has looked great, others he looks like a rookie. Give him some time.

Maybe posts like this is what Exittmine(sp?) was talking about.

It's the first week of his first NFL training camp.

This thread makes me laugh out loud.

Dude could be a pro bowl nose tackle. How about you give him some time to prove himself, eh? Kid's a rookie and will probably get a spot on the roster simply because his upside is so high.

Watch his Alabama game tape, he knows how to stay on his feet. Williams is a lock to make the team.

This is a funny thread. WAY too early to make these types of statements.

You mean that YOU arnt panicked?

I am very worried, just worried about other positions and players (looking at you Mr. Harvin). A rookie on day 3-4 of camp does not concern me much yet. Give him more time.

Right.

If only they had looked at him and his body type prior to drafting him and realized that he was "high cut with sticks for legs". But no, they just drafted him flippantly - no body evaluation, no play evaluation, no fit analysis, no strengths/weaknesses breakdown. They drafted him on blind faith and were surprised to see what he looked like when he arrived for mini-camp after the draft.

:sarcasm_off:

What a wasted 5th round pick...PC and JS should be put on notice for drafting a player who isn't destroying our OL his first week of practice!

If this guy doesn't make the team, I hope Billio rubs all yer faces in it.
