Ok I know, the o-line doesn't give Russ the protection needed, well than wtf fix it! This is killing us. Not throwing down the field is allowing the opposing D to stay up and are being blowing up the run plays. Run sets up the pass but it also works the other way, what I am starting to see is a offense that is relying on RW scrambles all the time...

They did throw deep a couple of times. Only problem was, outside of the 1st quarter pass to Kearse, the receivers weren't open so they couldn't catch it.

We did try to, our guys just couldn't squeeze them or Russell was getting hit before they got where they were supposed to get.

Yup, it was glaringly obvious last week and RW will end up hurt if he has to rely on his legs more than not

It's a combo of horrific pass, trying to integrate Harvin and our average small WR's not getting open.

I love me some Harvin still, but he's turned our offense into the Oregon Ducks of the NFL. Just a bunch of gimmicky misdirection, bubbles and end arounds.

Teams have figured out that all they have to do is pack the box with 9-10 defenders and force Russell to make throws he doesn't want to make downfield.........and it's worked.

You can't run the ball with 9-10 defenders in the box.

You beat 9-10 defenders in the box by blowing the top off of the defense with long pass plays. Even ones that fall incomplete show that we're willing to throw it deep. Sorry, but 1-2 deep passes a game isn't enough.

Defenses will not respect our offense until we prove that we will hurt them if they crowd the box.

Would nice if a five man O-line and an RB could pick up a blitz, too.

Seems to me that if you overload a gap, our offense has no answer for it. Same as last year.

So what did we have to stop the run today ? 4 man fronts we had 8 to 9 at times in the box and still couldn't stop it. But your point taken .... with the speed we have at WR we need to spread the field more ... hope to see this next .. but ill hold my breath on that with BEVELL... where's Al Davis when we need him " just go deep baby" lol
