I’m getting nervous. Hope they don’t trade back for O’Cyrus Torrence lol

But seriously. I’ve never been able to read JS on draft day and we’ve never had this kind of draft capital to play with. I hope they make more sound, reasonable picks like last year tbh

O'Cyrus is going to be the best lineman from this class. He'd be a steal at 20.

I'd rather see the Hawks take Steve Avila or Cody Mauch (and kick him inside) than Torrence.

Torrence reminds me of Germaine Ifedi. Pass.

I honestly don't see a trade back. While a trade back is possible I think the JS is on a mission to take the best talent on the board.

I expect the Hawks to follow the 2022 blueprint:

1. Trust your draft board and go with who lands into your lap.
2. Double dip in areas of concern.

Don't be surprised if the Hawks load up on DL, interior OL and S with double dips.

It makes sense in that you need some young cheap talent along the trenches but more importantly to back up your high priced safety trio. This allows your drafted rookie safety duo to develop and not be forced into action. Ideally that is what I think the Hawks should do as the trenches on both sides of the ball need to be shored up to compete with the other NPC playoff teams. And the fact is that amount of cap space used on three safeties isn't sustainable long term. So the best way to gain cap savings is to start drafting areas that have cap bloat.

And as I have said before drafting QB with a five year rookie contract will be very tempting for the Hawks to consider. That would free up a lot of cap space to address other areas of the team for the next half decade.

No need to be nervous, don't stress. Try to enjoy the draft--it's going to be a blast! Just resign yourself to being (1) surprised several times, (2) disappointed at least twice, and (3) angry at least once.

But let's hope that among the 10 picks we will be (1) relieved and even satisfied several times, (2) delighted at least twice, and (3) ecstatic at least once.

Have healthy snacks and really good drinks on hand. Invite a 49ers fan to watch along with you.

Torrence wouldn’t even be in my top 5 offensive lineman for Seattle. He is fine if all you want is somebody to stand up at the snap of the ball. Online mock drafters think he’s a 1st rd pick that’s about it

I get you, but it won't be Torrence. He is remarkably inexplosive as a tester. The Hawks don't bother with "meh" atheletes up front.

EDIT: I guess Jamarco Jones was an exception.
