I thought they'd beat either the Giants or Ravens, so I'm going to go with a W against the Ravens, and then one more win in the 5 games after that (although I'd hesitate to predict which one).

So, I'd guess they'll be about 3-8 after 11 games into the schedule.

Like a typical bad team, they just can't put it all together in any one week. They hold Aaron Rodgers and the Packers to 17 points but the offense does nothing. Then against the Giants they offense starts clicking for the first time in almost a month and for god knows what reason Mangini goes back to his 1990s style "disguised" soft zone shell and the defense just gets eaten alive.

Pretty frustrating, really.

Really the only thing to say is that 3 point games are basically a coin flip, and they SHOULD be in coin flip scenarios with average teams like the Giants. They took a ton of punches all offseason, but the the Anthony Davis retirement after the draft and FA really broke their back, IMO.

I could see them winning 3 of the next 6. Ravens are surprising and Atlanta's offense can be limited, so those 2 home games look like wins to me. I could see them putting up a fight against the division rivals and I would not be surprised to see them win one of the 4 (hate to say it, but most likely Seattle).

I voted 4-7

Honestly wouldn't surprise me if they beat Baltimore and Atlanta (the Falcons are a different team when they leave the dome)

They will likely give us a tough game too.

I'll say 3-8

I think they can beat Baltimore without, and Atlanta at home at the minimum.

I think it's possible they steal a division game but at this point against who I don't know.

I think their best chance to win in the next six games is actually their next game against Baltimore. Baltimore is having a lot of the same issues that the 49ers are having with inconsistent QB play, bad pass protection, and a crisis of identity on defense.

Atlanta will tear that secondary a new one.

The only reason I like Baltimore in that game is that Harbaugh is going to have access to every possible bit of information about that team, and he'll be motivated to show them up for his brother.

Lot of calls coming in from Ann Arbor that week.

I'm kinda on the fence about the Baltimore game with the Niners. If it wasn't for the fact that 49er management undermined their Head Coach, spread rumors about their HC, and tried to trade their HC to Ceveland. I'd say the Niners might handle the Ravens with some ease, but John is Jim's Brother, and there has to be some "get back" in this equation.

Get back how though? The coordinators are different, the schemes are different, and almost all of the players are different.

Unless there's some secret to attacking Kaepernick that hasn't been uncovered yet* what would he really have to offer?

*And there isn't: get interior pressure and make sure pre-snap to be disguising your coverages. That's it.

...and force him to throw outside the numbers.

^FWIW I don't think he really has a problem outside the numbers.

People will cite the Cardinals game as an example, but again, that's an example of him being baited in coverage and having HS level footwork when facing interior pressure. In the same scenario between the hashes we'd likely just be talking INTs rather than pick 6s, but it would still be the same floaters into the trap and same INTs.

That's not going to help his WR's heal from injury or teach his defense how to cover.

Baltimore is in a bad way right now.

If they don't win on Sunday, I think 1-10 is a real possibility. In which case, the Seahawks would hand them their 6th and decisive 9th loss.

Idk about you, but I wholeheartedly believe that John Harbaugh would take great satisfaction in kicking the Forty-Niners behinds, due to what when down with "his Brother" & Niner Management/Ownership, imvho...of course. Even tho both teams are 1 & 4 this will be a hard fought battle, rumor has it that Jim might be on the sidelines to support his Brother John.

Btw, you forgot the remaining constants on the 9ers....Jed York & Trent Baalke. These are the people responsible for the discord last year on the 49ers against Jim Harbaugh, not the coordinators, or new coaches.
