How mad will the Ravens be at the Orioles?

According to Wyman, the reason Baltimore had to open on the road, in Denver, was because the Orioles wouldn't reschedule a home game! Wow! After they brought the Lombardi to town, and had a very long season, they have to open in the worst place possible for an AFC team? :34853_doh:

If I was a Baltimore fan, I would boycott the baseball team.

The Ravens were always going to play Denver on the road. They would have opened at home against a different team. Still, pretty annoying for Ravens fans, no doubt.

Kind of off topic but. I've always thought that baseball should be finished when football starts and basketball should not start until after the super bowl. Things like this wouldn't happen. More teams could share a venue.

Yep, and all the O's were asked to do was to change the start time of their game from an evening game to an afternoon game, that's it, and they said no.

I wouldn't do it if I were the Orioles owner. Tough luck.

I'm sure the Baltimore fans will see it that way. Football is huge in Baltimore, and especially when you bring the Lombardi to town, Baseball, on the other hand, is a "footnote."

But there also this contrary view. Baseball generates a lot more revenue for the local community than NFL football. NFL stadiums are a huge burden on local tax payers.

They play at different venues. The Ravens at M and T, the Orioles at Camden. Is it illegal to have them play on the same night or something? You would think they could make an exception considering the tradition of the champs openining up at home

They play in different venues right next to each other. The problem was they share the same parking facilities. Still sucks for the ravens, I wish they wouldve beat the donkeys last night.

Well it's not up to just the Orioles, you would need approval from the White Sox and MLB. It's not like they didn't try to work it out, but things fell apart. Still sucks for Baltimore fans.

I thought the Orioles agreed(with compensation) and the White Sox said no. Either way, lets just get rid of MLB, period.
