I saw that Earl Thomas is starting to promote a Seahawks fan event that he will be at in September. Interestling, I read the comments, and they were not very supportive at all. A lot of fans referencing the middle finger incident for his last game.

Just out of curiosity, where do you all stand on Earl Thomas. We all know what he contributed for the Legion of Boom and the Seahawks, but we also saw how it ended. We saw the off field incident with his brother, etc.

- Has enough time passed and you have forgiven him as a fan? Perhaps never had any bad feelings to begin with?
- You still have negative feelings towards him and probably always will?
- You still have negative feelings towards him, but perhaps just need more time
- Really unsure how you feel about him right now.

Forgiven and moved on. He will always be an integral piece of the LOB, forever cemented in Seahawks lore and I will always be grateful for what he contributed on the field.

None of us are perfect. We all have things we have said and done we wish we could take back in retrospect.

Nothin’ but love, ET.

I never had hard feelings, though I did stop wearing his jersey, due to the character issues.

Thomas has serious mental health issues, IMHO, but never fell into the Terrell Owens and Randy Moss category of prick. He is the prototypical million dollar talent, ten cent head, case.

Pete was the perfect coach for him, but he couldn't see it. Nina was exactly the kind of narcissist B**** that a nice guy, like Thomas, is destined to end up with. That doesn't excuse his extramarital behaviors, but it does make them understandable.

Hoping he has found the help he needs. Glad to welcome him back to Seattle.

Wel,l ET proved he's truly not the sharpest knife in the drawer but to me he's forgiven and It's all good. The leash will be shorter from now on though as he's somewhat of a demonstrable head case.

If he wants to come home we have open arms for him. He was pretty special as a FS when he was here.

Part of a legendary group.

We’re all human. I think if any of us got injured at that time with a contract ‘dispute’, we may have felt the same way.

I can’t hold a grudge against him just like I can’t hold a grudge against Sherm for joining the Niners.

They made history and did it in such a dramatic fashion. I’d like to remember that and not the shenanigans.

Aside from being goofier than hell, I never had a problem with ET. It was time for him to move on and I was actually pulling for him in Baltimore. And his axe to grind was with management and his contract, we've all been there at least once I think. I also feel bad for what his ex did to him too, sucks when you see someone done dirty and be victimized financially.

No, I've always liked Earl and I'm genuinely looking forward to him being inducted into the ROH.

One of my favorite Seahawks ever. Dude had a motor that just wouldn't quit. I know there were several of the LOB who wouldn't quit on a play but Earl seemed to have a knack for knocking the ball out of someone's hands right at the one yard line where most other players would have given up on the play already.

And there's this...

I saw that interview with him recently. The one that surprised me that it was in the dining area of a Motel 8 room just off the highway. :) It softened me a bit on him, but I still haven't forgiven him for, and I'm going to say 'first' - the Cowboys 'come get me - you know where I am' incident when he was with us. Didn't like it one bit, and didn't like the same thing when Deion Branch did basically the same thing with the Patriots when he was with us. If you're gonna be a traitor, don't be stupid enough to do it on camera. Have some class and let your agent do their job in the background.

Middle finger. Meh, I get it - contract blah blah blah - but again not a good look.

Does he have CTE/mental issues - not sure. Seems like it.

I don't really 'hate' on him - I think he's a moron. And honestly - I've kinda let that time mostly go. Between Kam's holdout (which I've said many times was the beginning of the end for the LOB IMO), Browner's criminal shit, Earl's on and off the field shenanigans - I'm mostly MEH now.

TBH - I don't really think of him much anymore until a thread like this comes up.

Having said that? NOBODY could turn a opposing teams run into the end zone into a safety with that ******* perfectly timed hand chop of his on the one yard line. That was legendary :)

Earl Thomas was not the only notable Seahawks superstar player that was openly upset and expressed so with the Seahawks brass.

Pretty much the entire LOB had their frustrations with the FO and definitely made it known at some point.

Even our beloved Legendary Seahawks RB, Marshawn Lynch, had some displeasure with the FO.

With this being said, I got no qualms and issues with Earl.

Earl, definitely was NOT a choir boy and he made his share of mistakes and has I’m sure his regrets and Thomas is not the only one that had some issues.

ET, is still a Seahawks Ring of Honor guy and definitely should be HoF one day!

Cheers to you and I still wish you the best with life after football, Earl Thomas!

Earl Thomas, one of the Greatest Seahawks of All-Time!

I can never doubt his commitment and willingness to play at a high level and sacrifice his body for the game and his team. Loved to watch and cheer for him. Yes I was disappointed by the way it ended but will always respect him for how he played and gave his all, on the field. That’s what he got paid for and he
more than delivered for me.

In a lofty place tanglin' with Satan over history.

Couldn't have said it better! Word for word. The older I get, the harder I find it to hold grudges over objectively SMALL shit as it pertains to the actions and inequities of athletes. Especially considering that, for one, none of us necessarily have ALL of the details/info. Also, none of this shit, usually, has no real bearing on my life.

I've never forgiven him because there was never anything to forgive in the first place. Nothing he ever did affected me personally or affected my life in any kind of a negative way. I couldn't care less about the middle finger, and I couldn't care less about the "come get me" stuff.

Earl was a helluva great player when he played here, and was instrumental in our one and only SB victory (as were several others). That's all I care about. No hard feelings and there never were.
