How deep into the playoff will we go?

If we can't figure out how to run the ball we aren't getting pass the wild card game. It seriously has to be fixed.
I honestly think they are trending upward and are still actually settling on the best o-line combo but seem to be more firm with a lot of probable improvement with each live rep together, it's more likely they will get better than not barring health, and now with young talent and ABE LUCAS. JSN is going to become more of a focal point and they haven't stopped the tunnel screens yet, they'll keep using him in the backfield perhaps with a couple more touches. We definitely need to have a threatening run game to take pressure off of Geno in the red zone, who will also run when blitzed more as the team is in more of a "playoff mentality" moving forward according to MikeMac.

because 3 weeks ago this place was gathering the torches and pitchforks and ready to run the entire coaching staff out of town on a rail. 1 loss and were out of first place and not in the playoffs. WAAAAAY too early to be talking playoffs.

To be fair, we are probably the only team in the NFC West who is realistically favored to win their game next week. We could quite conceivably lose and still be in first place. (Also, the Falcons aren't favored to win next week either, so we could very easily lose and still be sitting in the #3 spot).

That said, yeah, it's *a little* early to be talking about playoffs, but I don't think it's crazy to be thinking about it as a realistic possibility at this point.

I think all of us are a bit optimistic about the running game. In particular I don't think we have a handle on just how bad the offensive line has been. For example, PFF reported that K9 broke 16 tackles and got 93 yards on twenty touches. As a comparison point, the Seahawks entire defense missed only three tackles the entire game. K9 is an absolute beast, yet we don't really see it because of how besieged he is. We are all on Charbonet's back, but maybe his performance is due to how awful our line is. We may be trending up, but man are we in a deep hole.

He is only besieged particularly bcuz of the playcall itself , that really isn't even on the oline as much as people think as the opposing D knew what was coming and put more guys in than they could block several times
It's only his 1st season as an nfl OC but if I can see that good god almighty how is the other NOT gonna see it , gotta be more creative and well, confuse the hell out the other team and we sure the hell ain't doin that

Hopefuuly we make the playoffs, I always look forward to at least one more week of seeing our Hawks play. I could see us being the team that no one wants to play as long as our D keeps playing well. As far as our O, no true identity yet and that makes us scary as we have the potential to make some noise. One game at a time, Go Hawks

Just making the playoffs would be amazing. Not expecting much yet, I'm still waiting to see how these D plays out. It's been very uneven this year, not sure if I trust Geno in the playoffs either. This D can be exploited, but it's starting to come together. It could be something special, this team is just a very big question mark to me right now. I'm not sure what to make of what we're doing. MacDonald knows his defense, that I do know, but I know it is a tough defense to pull off, one that usually takes 1-2 seasons to completely gel.

That being said we're starting to see MacDonald's vision start to come together. With Nowosu healthy, this team could be a sleeper.

Let’s focus on the Jets but if we win the division we host a WC. I like a deep run tbh due to a better road record and how well we tend to play on the east coast in general. If the defense stays legit I like a Super Bowl run. I said before the 49er game that I wouldn’t be surprised if they reeled off six straight wins

The Jets is a huge test of where this team is at. If they can go on the road and beat a team that they should beat (after two emotional division games) to stay in first place, that's a sign of team maturity. That'd be a big step. Not necessarily about the quality of the opponent or even the quality of the win...just getting a win in that circumstance. It'd be the opposite of the test they failed earlier this year when they lost to the other New York team at home.

Jets do have a ton of talent. There's no way the Hawks are taking anyone lightly.
I think Mike has this team focused. I think they know they coming together but also know they aren’t satisfied. I see a lot of players on this D hungry to be the best. Something we hadn’t seen in 10 years. Not comparing the two but the parallels are there

We’re rolling right now and I seriously doubt the Jets will derail that. I’ve been very impressed with the defense since adding Jones and Knight and how the D line is playing. We lead the league in pressure percentage and are top 5 in sacks

You beat me to it. The second I saw that thread title, I thought of Jim Mora Sr.
Jim Sr is a cool guy in person, I had dinner with him and his wife a few times, sat next to him once. I had to control not to ask him to do the "playoff?"

The Packers figure to be favourites in Week 15. The other 5 Seahawks games are pretty much coin flips. (Sportsbooks think the Jets have a 45% chance against the Seahawks). All of the NFC West teams look like 9-8 or 8-9 teams. I think the Packers, Vikings, and Commanders will get the Wild-card spots. The NFC West division winner will be the #4 seed, probably seeded to face the Packers or Vikings. Again they'd be in a small underdog or coin flip situation.

It's better than the pre-season projections so enjoy the ride.
Packers d-line looks pretty sweet tonight, not sure about these dolphins though. They seem pretty sloppy so maybe they’re making the cheese dogs look better
