Why is it a reach? Because, he's not rated that high by people who are wrong extremely often?
Todd McShay even says
Just thought it was funny that the same person said both of these things.

Apparently you can’t read since the post is not about mcShay but what he hears from when talking to scouts. Congrats on your illiteracyJust thought it was funny that the same person said both of these things.
The MSN article talked mainly about Dart's 3.71 GPA which sounded impressive, but it's from Ole Miss, a University with an acceptance rate of 98% or more or less open admission. As the saying goes, an "A" from Ole Miss, anywhere else would be a "D".
Todd McShay even says there are NFL scouts that rate him as the 2nd best QB in the class. I know the thoughts on the class aren't great but if Sanders and Ward may go top 10 it's highly conceivable Dart can too. Again, it just takes one organization to pull that trigger. Just keep it open as a possibility JS might fall in that same category.
Yes but right in the middle of the article is a clip that talks about mcShay talking to a ton of scouts that have Dart in the first roundThe MSN article talked mainly about Dart's 3.71 GPA which sounded impressive, but it's from Ole Miss, a University with an acceptance rate of 98% or more or less open admission. It was that way 50 years ago, and apparently still that way now.
"The quarterback, you know, he’s just — he’s awesome. There’s a way you want your son to be, that’s what you want to have,” Kiffin said. “Complete team player. Doesn’t care about stats, anything. His emotion at the end of the game. Just tried to help him keep it together. Because he cares, man. He cares about this team, he cares about this university."
I don't know why you all want to keep trying to re-invent the wheel. Draft a qb like we did with Russ and use the savings to beef up the rest of the team. It worked, we were in two sb's and could have been in more. Why change the formula?I don't know why you all want a rookie QB to be set up for failure, no line and you get David Carr, fix the line, establish a running threat and you don't need to roll dice, reach or hope for a draft position. You can pick up a guy that hasn't been broken yet from another team, yes you may not get a rookie contract, but you get a guy that has been given time to acclimate to the NFL and cut his teeth some. Hass, Geno being two examples here that have worked out. Since they are not starters for their teams you will get a chance to give them that chance on a deal that is team friendly and control the payout based on performance.
You do that with a lousy line and you get the Browns more often then not, build the foundation and then add a QB to use it. QB's typically are not ready to start day one, also this draft class sucks sweaty balls.I don't know why you all want to keep trying to re-invent the wheel. For me, it's more that we're not in a good position to get either QB prospect that actually has a decent chance of becoming a franchise guy.I don't know why you all want to keep trying to re-invent the wheel. Yeah, that's not what I said. I personally don't see much franchise potential outside of Shadeur and Ward. Maybe Ewers if he falls in a good situation. If the team has a guy they like, sure whatever, but the odds are extremely low if they just target later guys, like below 5% hit rate. I hope that isn't the plan.-- So if the "experts" don't rate a guy in the top ten picks, then we should just skip the QB position? With this in mind, I guess we should bench everyone and make sure to get top ten next year.
We were in 2 SB because of a top 2-3 defense all time, with Russ just managing the O. Would have 2 titles if they didn’t let him throwI don't know why you all want to keep trying to re-invent the wheel. Will fall to day 3What about Riley Leonard Notre Dame?
Dual threat and could fall to day 3.
Poor guy never had a chance to show much. I bet his uni was worn out on the backside every week!Expert options are just that, an opinion. Case in point, the generational talent of Caleb Williams, did you see his Chicago games as generational?

I didn't say it had to be this year. But I would play someone besides Geno so we're in a better position for '26.You do that with a lousy line and you get the Browns more often then not, build the foundation and then add a QB to use it.
