That’s all I can think of hot garbage when I hear Pete open his mouth to address us fans about the trade and the organization. He has been feeding us the same vanilla answers about a loss or our schisms a coach or anything else for that matter. I have been seeing for a few years now how he is wasting Russell’s talent and I now believe it. It’s too bad it’s going to take more then just losing our franchise QB for anyone above him to realize it.

Yep that's what I think this post is.

Was it not possible to put your thoughts in an already ongoing thread about how much some here hate Coach Carroll? There certainly is more than one other thread.

In case you failed to notice Wilson wanted out and if the team had kept him they would have had more continuing kvetching and their franchise QB not buying in, b/c he wanted to go elsewhere where he could play bombs away hero ball. If the team had kept RW they'd potentially have gotten less for him.

This right here ^

He said no to TWO other offers. We will never know what they were, and there's a good chance they were bigger offers. Considering he would only waive the trade clause to go to Denver, they did pretty well imo.

The Seahawks are trapped in purgatory. There is a small portion of the fanbase that is cool with losing, but the vast majority are not.

I remember the 90's and that is where this franchise is going to be for a while.

I think this is more the venting thread.

The other is a commentary about the conference.

Nobody likes being played for a fool and being lied to.

Being told you are competing when you obviously cannot likely means one of 3 things:

1 - the HC is delusional

2 - the HC is too foolish or age-impaired to realize this is not true

3 - the HC is aware there is little chance and is stating this anyway, knowing it is incorrect, in order to delude the audience.

4 - There is some magical solution defying logic and available information, which will allow us to compete for a playoff slot despite the resources and acumen to do so.

It makes complete sense to be upset if you believe #3 is the most likely explanation.

Are They?

I'd argue with Russ they were trapped, a QB who wants to be paid like the best in the league, who has never been an All-Pro, never an MVP, never lead the stats column, won one SuperBowl on the backs of the greatest or top 3 greatest defenses of all time. So narcistic he calls himself Mr. Unlimited and has 20+businesses he is trying to juggle. He may have an amazing arm, but his legs look like they are almost gone and his ability to pull off some magical 4th qtr comebacks has been fading.

Stuck with a leader who thinks he is better than his teammates, a leader who thinks his legacy is bigger than his coach, and one who thinks he knows more about how to build a roster than his GM, and thinks he know how to coordinate an offense better than the coaches.

Russ is the most self centered QB in the league, he is a wolf in sheep clothing and been lying to all of us for year.

Russ is Hot Garbage and I would wager his sack numbers will be higher than 47 sacks next year and that his team finishes 3rd in their division. I'm rooting for a top 15 pick and suspect they will be somewhere between 9-8 and 7-10. All the while we will also be looking at a 9-8 to 7-10 type season but I suspect we will finish #2 in our division.

I haven't been this excited for Seahawks football in a while. Soon all the curmudgeons who loved Russ so much will come back around.

No way he is more self-centered than Aaron Rodgers.

12th's going to 12. I hope we lose a large group of our fan base that is hot garbage and don't come back. I don't like losing either but Wilson was checked out on the team and we atleast got something in return. I'm actually excited to see what we can do in the next couple years with the draft and free agency.

Really?

Besides all the State Farm commercials, what make Erin so Self-Centered?

When I think of Russ I can't help but think about
Nanobubbles
10-12 more years
3, 4 more Championships
Perfume line called LRC (Let Russ Cook???)
Good Man Clothing Brand
The House of LR&C Clothing line
How many time has he said "My Legacy"
Look at the media circus at he Colorado Children's hospital where he was plugging his book and Ciara was plugging her new album. They are a complete joke

I dont know about hot garbage, but it's pretty mind-boggling the narrowness of the lens through which the majority of fans have viewed Russel Wilson and what he was, or wasn't, for this team.

It's hard to not see how completely stunted the growth of the offense was schematically with Wilson at the helm if you objectively look at the tape. We won when Wilson could play Russ Ball, in the 2 minute drill. The 3 qtrs before, the dude had the same below average 3rd down passing conversion success his first 5 years as he did his last 5. And Pete gets lambasted for turning to the only tool he has - a run game - to make the offense go, when the qb has proven over 10 years that he can't do it unless he's running around converting plays he's bailed out on.

Let Russ Walk > Let Russ Cook

Hot Garbage was the quick Russ interview I just saw. It's the exact same thing he said every year while here. He just plugged in new names. Pretty funny.
