Don't look now but the Seattle Seahawks look LEGIT, especially on offense. Still have a rough stretch to test our mettle in the weeks ahead but I REEEEEEALLY like what I am seeing out of this young club.

Huge transformation to a smash mouth run the ball team. Wilson not taking near the hits as the first 3 games.

Interesting to watch the next 4 weeks and wee if it holds.

Held a red hot Stafford to 14 points in their house. D isn’t doing too bad. Defense is so much harder these days so we all have to reset our expectations. Can’t play like those 80’s and 90’s defenses where knocking guys to the moon was allowed.

Stafford always struggles against really good teams and top QBs. Not surprised he faltered again. Really love what I’m seeing from this team

40+ runs in today’s current NFL, pretty funny. The offensive line is absolutely MAULING on running plays. The initial push at the snap is amazing, Solari deserves so much credit.

The 14 points also came from 2 busted plays. Overall do enough to be a top 10 D which is insane considering the talent exodus on that side. Pete is a defensive genius.

No kidding; we may be in the top 3 in scoring defense, and certainly top 5 in TO ratio. Outstanding job today!

Fantastic job for sure, that pass rush though. If the Seahawks want to go to the next level they need to get an edge guy opposite Clark, and a 3-Tech that can rush from the inside.

Aaron Rodgers & Phillip Rivers will be a great measuring stick for the defense. They need to show that they can hold up a bit better against these guys than they did Goff at home.

Schotty & Solari, with Pete being more hands off (which he admitted), has allowed Seattle to cure their biggest weakness over the years. Bad Offensive Coaching.

Now the new problem is pass rush. Rasheem Green has to emerge in the 2nd half of the season.

This team is looking very 2012 ish. A very good all-around young team, but Clemons was the only real pass rusher (like Clark is now).

The next year they went and got Bennett & Avril. They need to do something very similar in the upcoming off-season, while retaining Frank Clark.

Good news as the upcoming draft is loaded with D-Line prospects. Draft 1, and Sign 2 UFAs.

They need a dynamic returner/swiss army knife like a Harvin as well.

The needs are looking pretty simple right now, which is good as they don't have very many.

1) Pass Rush
2) Pass Rush
3) Pass Rush
4) Offensive Guard (If they lose Fluker in Free Agency)
5) Dynamic RAC receiver/returner
6) Defensive Back depth (They need to keep this position group stocked, and not overpay guys here. As Pete is a guru with DBs.)
7) Running Back (If they lose Davis in Free Agency.)

Love what I'm seeing and I believe we can take it all the way! I've had a Great Football weekend! Seahawks won, and the Boise State Bronco's won at Air Force.... Don't get any better than that!!! :irishdrinkers:

Good stuff, totally agree. I worry that any L's coming in the next month or so will in large part be due to a lack of true pass rush. Clark needs that opposite help. There's a lot of great Want To and Lunch Pail Effort from the interior line but if we can get Green and/or Jordan going that will be HUGE for this defense while the young pups in the backend still learn and grow. T2 had some rookie issues today. Shaq has hit a bit of a slump although I am not worried too much about him. McDougald was sicker than a dog but still managed to play today for the most part.

All-in-all, I agree, it's PASS RUSH to take this team back to elite status because right now, outside of the Rams and Chiefs, I can't think of a more fun and efficient IMPOSE YOUR WILL offense than Seattle at the moment.

Pass rusher health is a major issue with us at the moment, they have been nursing the guys back for a couple years and then Green getting his NFL tutorial as well. Pete has been trying to get a lot of parts working this year, not being to critical right now, the defense is very good just could get better, the offense is so much improved that I think we already have more points scored then last season, we are getting touchdowns instead of field goals. Not sure what our exact numbers are but it feels that way, additionally we have more rushing touchdowns I think then the last two years already, last year we had 1 I think by a RB and it was a screen pass.

Dissley and Dickson as a TE combo if we can get them both back will be devastating for the opposition to figure out, both blockers and pass catchers and a year tuned up our line will be no worse then middle of the pack next year which may not seem like a lot but all of us know middle of the road is leaps and bounds above being in the gutter. Davis really has no reason to leave unless the dollars are stupid money, but we do have Penny who should have a NFL body and experience so I am not worried, and don't forget Prosise :242735: :). I think we will look at Safety in the draft as well as Pass Rusher, we have brought in a lot of guys which tells me they are not set really. Then WR's as well.

My word it really IS 2012 all over again. Not saying we will be Super Bowl Champs in 2019 but then again why not? This team has the LOOK of another championship-caliber, young and hungry club in the making under Pete and John.

Holy cow.

This team is exceeding my expectations at this stage in the season and that is an understatement.

It's wonderful how much the OL has improved, AND that the importance of this is being so clearly appreciated. Maybe we could "brand" our OL (if that is the right word), like the Redskins' "Hogs"? I really enjoyed how much their play was valued.

Like I mentioned last week, plenty of "experts" had this team winning 4 or 5 games. Hilarious.
Yet, the same "experts" will be praising the Hawks soon enough. I love when people doubt this team.
