Russ is that ex who left because she wants to bang other dudes, but hopes you two can still be friends. Sure, there were good times, and on the occasional lonely night you still fondly remember the crazy orgy during that weekend getaway in New York, but the way she left showed a side of her that you didn't realize you had always known was there.

Meanwhile, you've moved on to better things, but still can't help chuckling to yourself when you see her post bikini pics to her insta, in an embarrassingly delusional attempt to trick herself into believing that she's still as hot as she was when she was 24 while telling herself "no, they didn't botch that surgery" and posting lies about how she still gets hit on by younger men and still gets carded for alcohol at 38, because whenever you run into one of her alleged friends who all seem to secretly hate her, they can't stop telling you all about how her latest boyfriend dumped her after a week because she's a toxic, manipulative, narcissist.

Or something like that.

Adams was garbage from the start too. His only thing was basically a parlor trick that the defense was statistically worse when he did it. There's a reason what he did didn't catch on around the league.
Adams was a unique safety that in my eyes never was a good fit for Carroll’s defense.

He would’ve been more at home doing what Emanwori does. It’s part of the reason why I doubted the trade from day 1.

I think that Adams was very much so a Pete Carroll move.

Carroll’s issue was he always thought we were just one or two players away from the bowl, so a lot of what we did felt like patchwork rather than building a strong base.

I declare that this post absolves @Rat of any future “bad takes’ for a minimum period of at least 6 months. It’s that good.

Schneider might be the better GM, but Jones had the benefit of having his peak during a time where it was much easier to keep your best players.

We're in good position to stay relevant in the championship picture for a while, but expecting a 90s Cowboys style run is probably unrealistic.

100% agree.

For me the indisputable difference is the QB position. I’m not throwing shade on Darnold, but Aikman is a first ballot hall of famer at the most important position in the league.

Where I think there are similarities is that that NFC had the three of the four best teams in the league (NYG,SF, DAL) during that time and the NFCCG was the de facto Super Bowl for a period.

At least Walker and Williams were good players during that time. Russ wasn't an nfl caliber qb since he left here. Broncos got fleeced. Imo its the worst trade in the history of the major team sports.
I don't disagree but what about when Iron Mike Ditka traded his entire draft to get Ricky Williams?

Kinda a different deal. He willingly was that stupid although Williams was good at times .

I agree it was stupid. Way too much but Ricky was a talent. Russ wasn't by that point.

26 touchdowns and 8 picks
16 touchdowns and 5 picks in a short season

Yet you would argue Geno at 17 touchdowns and 17 picks was near elite. Make it make sense.

I know you're trolling because its the off season and you're bored but Im also bored so I bit.
Nowhere I've ever said that Geno was elite??? Wtf? Cmon..you know Russ was terrible the moment he left here..its not even a debatable topic.

Are you SeahawkSteve80?

I asked a legit, albeit a bit comical question to clarify the meaning of the posters point. You apparently have decided to speak for him, so connect your response to my query.

Although his Kickoff return TD in SB48 almost made up for all the headache.
Todd, you're thinking of Percy Harvin.
We didn't need that KR although it was like a cherry on top, but really
what does anyone remember him doing beside that?
He was always hurt and he drove away Golden Tate with the fight and
Pete giving him that big contract, I know JS wasn't behind that silly deal.

He went off in the redskins game in 2014, but all his tds got called back.

Wow Rat so much thought in to that analogy and so spot on. Way to bring the heat with that.

Can't help but think of the difference. Russ got divorced after winning the Super Bowl. Sam's getting married this summer. He also made the comment on mic'd up that he was thinking of the wedding on the field right after the win and wondering if that was weird.

I am not saying that Darnold is better than Aikman, but how do you know that by the end of his career Darnold will not be a first ballot hall of famer?
