The Walker trade setup the ‘boys for their historic run in the early 90’s.

The Russ trade did the same for the hawks, but we’re in a stronger position b/c:

JS > Jerry

and

MM is par or better than JJ and leagues above Switzer.

Life is good as a hawks fan!

Schneider might be the better GM, but Jones had the benefit of having his peak during a time where it was much easier to keep your best players.

We're in good position to stay relevant in the championship picture for a while, but expecting a 90s Cowboys style run is probably unrealistic.

Very true, but we did get a year and a half of good play out of Adams before his injuries caught up with him. ME3 was garbage from the start with Horseface and the gang.
Adams was garbage from the start too. His only thing was basically a parlor trick that the defense was statistically worse when he did it. There's a reason what he did didn't catch on around the league.

Based on Walker since football ended I thought this thread would be quite dark.

At least Walker and Williams were good players during that time. Russ wasn't an nfl caliber qb since he left here. Broncos got fleeced. Imo its the worst trade in the history of the major team sports.
26 touchdowns and 8 picks
16 touchdowns and 5 picks in a short season

Yet you would argue Geno at 17 touchdowns and 17 picks was near elite. Make it make sense.

I know you're trolling because its the off season and you're bored but Im also bored so I bit.

And those teams still couldn't wait to move on from him.

And they should've Him and Payton didn't get along and he was also at the end of his career so it makes perfect sense to move on from him.

And I fully agree it was a terrible trade for the Broncos.

Agreed Rat. Certainly a 1 horse pony the league figured out and took advantage of after that initial year. Couldn't cover a nat with a blanket but I believe he's in the league record books for most sacks by a safety as a Seahawk. ME3 has no records as a Donk, except perhaps the most money paid to a player to just go away. :)

Randy Mueller trading Rick Mirer to the Bears for the 11th overall pick was one of the greatest bail out trades ever.
Absolutely! The lowest rated quarterback in the AFC gets traded for a first round pick. What in the world were they thinking?
