Babyface Sam!!
Agreed. And for the record, I wasn't implying our missed redzone opportunities were all on Sam, that was a team effort, lol. And my uneasiness over last night's game wasn't just because of Sam either. Kubiak needed to not have a stale first half gameplan. Sam needed to execute and not turn the ball over. The O line needed to run and pass block effectively. K9 needed to run hard for the yards that are there and not keep trying for the home run. Our pass rush needed to at least push Purdy off his spot.We did squander them, but Sam also didn’t call the plays. First and goal at the 1, and they haven’t even began to stop the running game, just run it. Yes Charbs was open, but the DE was also right in Sam’s way, so maybe he could see if anyone was inside heading towards Zach, who could get a INT. And that’s why he didn’t throw it.
My issue is not running the ball at the 1-yard line in a 1st and goal.Agreed. And for the record, I wasn't implying our missed redzone opportunities were all on Sam, that was a team effort, lol. But the biggest concern I had was Sam turning the ball over because he's done that to the tune of 20 this season. He was efficient and didn't make many mistakes. There was that one pass to the sideline that was almost picked and he got panicky a couple times when the walls were closing in. Outside of that, he was solid.
