I'm not sure how to say this without ruffling some feathers here. If we were 3-13 last season then yes, I believe this conversation would be warranted but, its not the case. Trading away key player for a over the hill OL isn't what I would call a stellar move.
The only trade possible at this point would be Bruce Irvin. To whom and for what? Were in great shape for 2015 its like nobody believes in JS & PC. I do. Cheers

The only ruffling of feathers is the readers feathers as we all collectively facepalm reading your post. Over the hill? he was the best guard in football the past 3 years.

There is minimal risk in signing him to a short term deal, remember people take less to play for a competitor and we dont have the taxes other states have that eat a nice chunk of their salary.

Ive talked to evan mathis in the past.. i sold him his own card on ebay. He was really cool. I joked with him about coming out to seattle where guards are treated like rockstars and protecting russ. He actually sent me a personalized 8x10 autograph. i started following him on twitter after that he is hilarious. Ive been following his contract situation since then hope he signs on with us. Hes like john moffitt but actually funny and good at football.
