Look at it this way - we are trading for Harvin during this season, we just know it's going to happen already.

Also if we didn't trade for Harvin, you know SF would have him instead. Would you rather the 49ers were getting harvin back in time for the playoffs, or us?

With all due respect, for anyone to predict a best case scenario of "____ date", is a little ignorant. There were three scenarios heading into the surgery that they had no idea until they actually were able to get into the hip.

It ranged from as little as 2 months to 8 months recovery. I've been searching all over for what actually took place in the surgery, but all I've heard is that it went very well, but what does that mean? The Seahawks and the surgeon have been very tight lipped.

I view Percy's principal contribution on offense being the short passing game, which is not Williams strong suit thus far (even taking into consideration the great YAC he showed on that 3rd and long in the GB game).

A healthy Harvin will make teams employing delayed blitzes to get to Wilson (like GB) regret those calls. Give the ball to Harvin in space, even close to the LOS, is THE best way to use him imo.

I figure 3 months given the procedure was a scrape and not a reattachment. So anywhere from games 7-11 should see his return.
