Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator Gus Bradley is traveling Wednesday from Philadelphia to Jacksonville to interview for the Jaguars' coaching job, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter

"He's got a brilliant football mind," Carroll said last week. "He's got a way of reaching people and touching people and getting the best out of them, coaches and players alike. He's got everything that you're looking for."

It almost sounds like Carroll wants to get rid of him.

Pete always tells his guys he'll do whatever he can to help them find their dream job. At USC he would actually would do mock interviews to help staffers prepare. Of course, he also says he will compete to keep them from leaving.

It seems that Bradley is bound and determined to leave for a head coaching opportunity. Good luck Gus. Go.

He would be better off staying in Seattle, 'finishing' the defense, and winning a Super Bowl than going to a team with no talent, no QB, no fans and bad helmets. He wins a Super Bowl with a top defense next year he will have his pick of much better jobs.

Pete's doing the right thing. He's not a selfish prick thinking of himself, he's helping Gus get where he wants to go. If Pete thinks Gus is qualified and Gus wants to go, what else would he say? He's not going to trash the guy so he can't get hired.

Problem is Gus Bradley's soft zone defense has a hard time "finishing" games, time for him to move on.

The Jags would be a huge challenge for ANYONE to take up, but the rewards could be much more gratifying if he can pull them out of the pit they've been stuck in.
I think IF he's giving it full consideration, he should make his move sooner, rather than later, because he just might want to have some say in player aquisitions, and maybe even get involved with the drafting of the players for his Defensive scheme set.
I think Pete's rah rah style of Coaching, and drive for getting players to buy into HIS system just might be the cards that Bradley could play and have some success.
You know that he would more than likely keep an open line to Pete and John for some advice on available players.

I hope him and Bevell stay. For their sakes. The remaining jobs aren't particularily desirable. Come back, next year both the Hawks O and D will be elite and people aren't going to forget about them and they'll both be back in consideration again.

Worst thing that can happen is you take a crap HC job, get fired and end up unemployed or being the OC or DC for a team worse than the Hawks.

Don't see how Bevell doesn't get one next year if Wilson has the sort of offseason and the sophomore season that his work ethic wil provide. A couple additions on the DL and the D will be beastly too and Gus will get better opportunities next year.
