They were at the 2, he took it to the 1/2-yard line. Law of averages says that he punches in the ball in his next attempt.

I wanted 3 straight hand offs there to be honest. This OL has been able to push on third and short, goal line, and against stacked boxes such as the second half of this game.

Yeppers...And both those passes should have been TD's...Dougie just misjudged where he was and Vannett got shoved an inch out of bounds before catching the ball. Could have both been TD's real easy..!!

My only issue is if they were going to go for it anyways then why not run on 3rd then see what's open on 4th.

But regardless, i like that they went for it.

Law of averages says that he punches in the ball in his next attempt.

The idea of a "law of averages" is a fallacy and is a complete denial of mathematics, particularly probability.

The analytics suggest that Carson is not very good at the goal line, but I think that’s too small a sample to take seriously and can’t agree with the notion. He’s too good at physically running through tackles to not be good at the goal line. So I do wish he had been given an opportunity there.

On the other hand, it was not a Bevell-level catastrophe. Both plays had a strong likelihood of success. Baldwin is as sure handed as it gets and makes that play 9 times out of 10.

Overall, the play calling was very strong today. Red zone play calling has been phenomenal all season, with only a couple missed opportunities due to poor execution.

Really, law of averages ????? Few if any variables are the same so there is NO law of averages and even if they were exactly the same the chance of success or failure would be the same with each occurrence.

Lions jammed our big man with there big man and stuffed the previous attempt. I guess we didn't have a whole lot of confidence trying Sweezy's side.

Yeah, I didn't much like that sequence, either. At another point in the game, IIRC, we handed off to the FB twice in a row. That seemed a bit strange, too.

Kind of one of those like them going for it, just not the call things. I wanted them to take the points, but didn't mind them going for it. Preferred a Run, but oh well. 2 touchdown win

Ball was placed at 1 after that. I agree with him getting to the half yard line but it was not placed there

Separately no issues with passing on 1. Issue is passing up the middle on the 1

I had more confidence in Carson punching it in or taking a field goal attempt..but chancing an interception twice...really??

Two extremely close near TDs. Baldwin uncharacteristically stepping out of bounds. The other a penalty for catching the ball after being out of bounds. On the whole, the red zone play calling has been astoundingly good. Even with those missed opportunities, the Seahawks are still scoring TDs on a whopping 74% of their red zone trips.

But good job finding something to complain about.

It reminds me of a pass play on the 1yd line in a super bowl...bad things happen when you get greedy in those situations...sorry...forgive me ...I didn't know there were still Bevel fans in here...my bad...

This is a little ridiculous... wins can (and usually do) contain learning experiences as well as losses.

It has nothing to do with Bevel fans or the SB. People blame the play call for physical or mental mistakes. Its the easiest target.

I would bet almost every healthy starting WR in the league makes that toe drag.I bet Baldwin makes it 99 outta 100 times. This time he didnt. It happens.
