Lets pretend Clowney finally settles for 17 mil per.

I would take

Everson Griffen at 7/8 mil per

Logan Ryan at 7/8 mil per

Snacks Damon Harrison at 3/4 mil per

Hoping for the low end at 17 mil and fills all 3 needs (DE,Slot CB, DT), which i would take over Clowney all day wouldn’t ya’ll?

I think you are off on the cost of those 3 by $8 million or so total.

Yeah. Most teams would like to get those three at those way below market value figures. This isn't Madden.

A solid DT would be nice with what we have now,

Im sure theyll pick up a interior DT or two before the season starts. They always do.

Yeah, those deals and price are a pipe dream. But there's nothing wrong with hoping :irishdrinkers:
Shoot, any of those 3 would make this team immediately better on D. Still want Clowney back though.

Hopefully we see a couple low cost veterans release because outside of snacks the free agent pool is fairly dry.

Griffen @ $10M APY
Harrison @ $7M APY

or

Clowney at $17 M APY

I think our team would be better in 2020 with the two vs the one... but locking up Clowney for 4 years would make us better long term.

People keep bringing Harrison's name up, I am guessing the didn't watch any Lions games last year. Harrison is done, looked old/slow and ineffective.

So you watched a lot of lions games? Maybe he looked old and slow and showed no effort because they were tanking?

He hated being there and was still statistically elite against the run. The attitude isn’t promising, but I didn’t think he was ineffective.

Lions run defense took a step back in 2019, and Harrison's disappointing season was big reason why. Granted he played through an injury, but all the signs are there that Harrison is on the decline. At this point, he has publicly state he is contemplating retirement so it sounds like Harrison sees the writing on the wall.

I wouldn't be opposed to bringing him in cheap, but with the expectation he would be beat out by a younger cheaper option.

I can’t see any of our young, cheaper options beating him out though.

Did seem like he didn’t even give the Lions a chance though. Apparently, he wouldn’t even return their calls when he heard he was traded there.

If he played through an injury, he played through an injury. Best not to rush past that factor.

I'd rather have Mike Daniels than Harrison. Harrison hasn't been great the last 2 years.

That cuts both ways though, especially with aging players carrying that much weight.

While I don't agree with John Clayton saying 3 million for Everson Griffen I bet my numbers are not to far off when all 3 are signed.

Logan wants 10 but no one has signed him for that...

Guess we will see...
