Geno isn't THE problem, but he's absolutely a part of the problem. He's the one making the bad decisions. We all know the play calling has been wildly inconsistent.
Even the biggest Geno Fanboy can't honestly say he hasn't regressed this season in the red zone. He has regressed BIG time.

Nope. Geno has no intention of moving around. He is fully aware of what his o-line is and still thinks he can stand there like it’s 1984. He needs to be moving immediately. If the play is not designed for an immediate pass he should be ready to move. He doesn’t even try to move unless it’s forward through a parted red sea
Peyton Manning did not move around. I know now exactly how much you watched Peyton Manning. Quarterbacks have to be able to make plays from the pocket.

Running splits the field in half. Once Geno sprints left, he no longer has access to anyone on the right. A QB has to stay in the pocket if at all possible to maximize his options.

Decision making is a lot more important than stats between the 20's. Maybe my biggest frustration with Geno.

I wonder who are day 1 starting QB will be next season. It sure as hell won't be Geno or Howell.

Peyton moved to avoid the rush. Not run around. He slid and moved where he had too. He did not continuously stand still in collapsing pockets.

Tell Matt stafford he has to stand still in the pocket or he’ll lose half the field….

Geno's decision making is slow yet he's been sacked only a single time in the RZ this year.

He has 5 interceptions in the RZ and 8 TDs. I'm doing a write up but here's what I'll say about those 5 INTs. 2 out of those 5 were just inexcusably bad. 2 of them had clear pass interference and 1 was a bit of a hail mary at the end of the DET game. Out of the 2 that were really bad, neither were bad decisions, just bad throws.

The 8 TDs were pretty great too. He does a lot with his body to confuse linebackers, even having a basically no look pass on one.

He still threw the ball to a defender I don't care if there was holding. Stop making excuses for terrible decision making. He could see both players and chose to throw it.

Holding and PI are fouls for a reason because they fundamentally change the outcome of a play.

Biggest reason I just don't like talking about this subject these days. Excuses, excuses, excuses. I'm shocked that anyone would be satisfied with how Geno is playing this year. To each his/her own.

If you're trying to solve an issue or identify the problem, you have to look closely at what is happening. When I watch All 22s of plays I don't see the same issues as I do watching it live where it seems like Geno holds the ball and makes bad decisions. Geno has made bad decisions, he's also made just bad throws, but there are more fundamental issues -- lack of blocking, bad or weak routes, the fact that our giant big body receiver is almost never used like it.

I'm not saying a better QB wouldn't do better. Geno isn't a HOF QB, he's pretty middle of the NFL starter pack.

If Geno can't process that the play isn't there and his guy isn't open, regardless of the reason, whether it's holding or otherwise that's on Geno.
