It's NOT run first. This is the time we pass , pass, pass.

They give up an average of 238 at HOME.

Game plan - offense:
Keep RW in the (non-existent) "pocket".
If they have 8 men in the box - zone read run into the stacked box.
If they are blitzing - all deep routes that take 5+ seconds to read.

Defensive game plan:
Use LBs to cover their WRs.
DL all have 2-gap run responsibilities (since the LBs are in coverage). Since this helps negate pass rush effectiveness have a LB blitz every 10th snap.

Keep Wilson on his feet and clean in the pocket and the backfield . Wilson has to be successful passing the ball this week and beyond ...opponents don't seem to worry about the Hawks run game lately...they are trying to make Wilson beat them passing . These games the rest of the way will be won or lost by Wilson . IMO

Just to clarify .................

Carolina's pass defense has been statistically competitive over the course of the season.

Where as Carolina's run defense efficiency has been the most generous in all the land ...... yielding a league leading average of 4.26 yards per carry ..... very generous.

Surely an invitation to make good use of the Seahawks run game and assertion of will.

We'll see

So you can run on the Panthers? Good let them stack the Box so we can pass and pass some more, they will never expect it.

Shudders that this could be what happens.

Lets see...they are decent vs. the pass, and Pete loves to RUN, so let's RUN.

No.........Penny is out and we're one injured Carson from CJ Prosise as RB.

Open up the pass play book and have some friggin fun.

The Redskins ran for 248 yards against them two weeks ago. Devonta Freeman had his best game rushing against them last Sunday. This is a game I'd like to see the Seahawks run, run, and run some more. Run till they stop it. Which in all probability won't happen (that is them stopping it). Run all three backs - Carson, Prosise, and Homer. I wonder if there was a game where 3 backs had over 100 yards rushing each.....this could be it.

The sarcasm is strong in this one.

This single post captures the essence of almost every critical thread on this he board.

That said let’s watch and see if renofox was prescient.

I think the butt kicking the team took in LA will see a highly motivated team looking for their 7th road win of the year.

Well then, because the Panthers would never expect it, Pete will go Pass Heavy. :curious:

Hell, I thought RenoHawk's post was the friggin' POST OF THE WEEK!!

I mean, as big of a Pete Carroll fan as I am, sometimes you just can't make this shit up! It's like you said, it captures the essence of nearly every critical thread on this board, and in such a small space. Brilliant!!

And yes, Pete Carroll is pretty-near God's gift to coaching, as far as I'm concerned.
But sometimes the truth is the truth. At least for a time, anyway.

All it needs is this line added to the Game plan - offense list:
If it's the 4th quarter, we're down two scores - Russell, ditch the plan, go work some magic and win this game for us!!
