As was I.

I'll be 64 y/o later this month and have been a Hawks fan since December, 1980, when I moved out here from the Midwest to join Boeing.

I wasn't alive, but my dad had apparently just jammed my mom a couple months earlier.

Wasn't alive. Wasn't even a swimmer in my Dad's pouch yet.

I remember Reggie McKenzie saying to Lou Gellos on King 5 that the Seahawks were going to kick the Dolphins ass. Back then, that was a shocker on live TV. It was right after they had beaten the Broncos. Good times. I was 28 at the time and had lived here since late 1978 after finishing up my 4 yr tour with the Air Force.

I was 10, wasn't a huge football fan at the time but I remember all of the talk on the local news. Very exciting times!

I was 12 years old and growing up in Connecticut at the time and the 1983 playoff run turned me into a rabid fan. Back in those days it was hard to follow your team in the eastern time zone. I would have to scoreboard watch and if late game finished before the the Seahawks game was over I would have to watch the ABC Sunday Night movie and try and catch Dick Schapp's sports minute to see if they won. Man times have changed!

I was 12, and that was one of the single greatest moments I can remember about the Hawks. I really thought this would happen every year!
