In Seattle.

I doubt most of you understand what that stadium does to our offense. Our offense's greatest strength is making at the line adjustments. In Seattle, our greatest strength becomes our greatest weakness. That's why all of us expected a Seattle win. In San Francisco, you won't be able to count on that, and I believe that shifts the match-up to an equal one.

Yes, because I'm sure the players are relying on Kaepernick to tell them where to shift.

Or are you saying your coaches aren't smart enough to give them what they need beforehand to negate those shift calls?

49ers fans: Go on NFL Game Rewind and watch the condensed (~33 minutes long) Seahawks @ 49ers game from last year. Count the number of perfectly thrown dropped passes by our receivers and Robert Turbin.

Now try to tell us you expect to beat us in your house later this year with a straight face. If our receivers could have at least caught the clap in a Mexican whorehoue that day in Candlestick, we'd have won that game. It's exceedingly unlikely that we'll have like six dropped passes that went right through both hands again this year at your house, though you can start praying now for it to happen again if it'll make you feel better.

Oh, and let's not forget that our offense has looked very average.

Do you Niners remember last year? Do you remember the trajectory of the team? 29 points might be the smaller number when it comes to points scored against the Niners this year.

That's a pretty damning review of your coaches then.

If they're unable to come up with an even barely passable way of adjusting at the LOS without absolute silence then they aren't doing their jobs properly.

Of course, that isn't actually the case. You actually have very talented coaches who are more than capable of working around this.

The truth is you've conjured up an excuse for the fact your boys were systematically destroyed by a better team.

Which is precisely why I've been posting all morning. Cowering in fear.

Backhanded "compliments" are a sure sign of fear. You know Seattle owns the 49ers souls now.

Indeed!

Fact is, the last two years the 49'rs came to the C-Link and left bloody...bruised...broken ...in both bones and in spirit.

They left demoralized.

Harbaugh's team quit five minutes into the 4th quarter and didn't even bother to wait for the final gun to run off the field.

Congrats hawks. Now I never expected us to win considering it was in the clink, but if you manage to beat us in SF which I highly doubt since seahawks are a different team on the road, then I will shut up. Until then I'm going to keep posting here from time to time.

Ah the backhanded compliment

What's backhanded about congratulating you guys on the win yet saying he's still confident the 9ers have a great shot at home later this year? The congrats would have only counted if he lied and said he thinks you guys are gonna spank the 9ers again on the road?

Sheesh you guys are sensitive winners. Great, great team, but the odd mixture of cockiness + Seattle-sports-fan-victim-complex displayed by some Hawks fans is pretty hilarious. You guys gloat your asses off in victory (which I'm fine with), but then get hypersensitive at every imagined affront to the Hawks (which I'm also fine with -- it's just the combination of the two which is ridiculous).

AND SERIOUSLY, AND I'VE SAID IT REPEATEDLY ON THIS BOARD FOR THE PAST TWO DAYS: Congrats on a well-deserved and decisive win.

LOL.

Take it however you want. I was giving you guys sincere congratulations. I also said that I thought Sherman was an a$$ for the way he handled the postgame stuff. Simple as that.

Nothing backhanded in saying your defense thoroughly dominated the 49ers offense. You just don't like that I have an opinion of Richard Sherman.

That's your right.

I blame the rain delay
Of course you do, because we all know it couldn't have been the Kraeppers fault, or Saint Jimmies fault, or the fact that Seattle is the BETTER TEAM, nope! GD mother nature!!!! :x

BTW: What was last years excuse??? (sorry the Justin Smith excuse don't fly as tonight he played and you still lost by 26 points)

PS. Your beloved Whiners lost by a combined score of 71-16 over the past 2 games with Seattle. Maybe, just maybe, they got beat by the better team!

Well to be fair they did have to travel all the way from Northern Cal, and coming off a very emotional win last week, not to mention having to play a night game in the rain with weather delays.. a lot going against them sunday night....Plus i'm sure it was a tad bit noisy as well..

Before I commence with my post, Hawk fans, if your stadium isn't a SIGNIFICANT advantage, then please explain this:

8-0 @ Home
3-5 on the road.

You were a LOSING team on the road, and you were nearly INVINCIBLE at home. You barely beat THE PANTHERS 12-7 on the road in week 1. You TRASHED the 49ers in week 2. In takes some serious cognitive dissonance to not see the pattern.

So, in Seattle, it's lopsided in favor of the Seahawks, but in that toilet Candlestick park, the matchup is even? Ok then.

Yeah. (a) 49er fans at the stick tend to be rich wine and cheese douchebags who only like the team because it's cool to.
(b) Candlestick, and no other stadium for that matter, has the engineering genius that C-Link has in terms of amplifying sound.

It is more than shifts. It's routes, run or pass, protections, etc. There is a LOT in our offense that is not determined until the players are at the line. I was prophetic when I said "I doubt most of you would understand," it seems. Well, perhaps not most, but certainly you.

No, the truth is that I'm correct. You spend a whole off-season doing it one way, you're not going to master another way in a week. They tried. It didn't work so well. That was only 1/2 of the problem, though. The other half was our injuries at WR and loss of Delanie Walker (for trap blocking).

Now, here is WHY it is critical: these adjustments put Kaepernick in a position where the defense is easy to read and exploit. When they are limited, we have to rely solely on his ability to read a defense post-snap, which I'm sorry to say is still a work in progress. That's probably why the last time we beat you in Seattle, Alex Smith was the quarterback.

So you're saying C-Link is NOT a significant advantage? Okay, that clears it up. Throwdown does NOT think that Seattle has a significant Home Field Advantage. I'm glad we've cleared that up. This despite being 8-0 @ Home but somehow 3-5 on the road last year, and barely escaping Carolina with a win, but thrashing SF at home.

Whole lot of season left. You guys kicked our asses last year and still didn't win the division or home field through playoffs. You guys had another great game and laid a smack down on us again, but lets get real here, you have a tough road schedule, talk smack when you get through that. We all know you can win at home.

We're not talking smack to the rest of our upcoming opponents, we're talking smack to niner fans.... fruits of victory, yes?

Did you not read over your post? You're talking all of that about Seahawks fans when ya'll are too dense to realize you're on a SEAHAWKS forum defending every slight against the 49ers.

You're either new to watching football or just dumb, maybe both if we're gonna go off your name gloating about the past.

Every team has an advantage at home, are you serious right now? we've been beaten in Seattle before like you said, just take your L and keep moving, don't try and excuse the beat down you took, be a man and take the L. Its the NFL, if your team can't overcome some kind of adversity, your team has no business getting back to the Super Bowl, let alone the NFCCG.
