What team do you have more faith in? The team heading into SB40? SB48 or SB 49? Maybe this one? Call me stupid, I’d love to create poll thread where people can vote. But, I’m well into a half-rack of Elysian Space Dust, (living in Cali, but giving good vibes to Seattle) so forgive me.

Going first, I 10000% thought the Seahawks would win SB40. To this day, I still feel Seattle was the better team. Taking the horrendous refs out if it, our team still had chances. SB48…LOB was legit…Manning was still Manning and (stupidly) I had my doubts. It was a blow out. SB49…I was still kinda numb after the GB NFC Championship game. I thought, what Seahawks team (Russel) would show up? To this day, still crushed about that play call in SB49. Yeah…that play we’ve seen ad-nauseam this week and will see tomorrow.

That said…this team is different. It seems…connected. Bold. Love. The Power of 12 as 1.

Thoughts?

SBXL* we - the number one seed - were the better team headed into the matchup, clearly. But the Steelers - a lowly 6th seed wildcard team - got stupid hot and upset every team in the post season including us. The refs absolutely steered that game but I agree with Hasselbeck, we did not play our best game and that absolutely contributed to the upset.

SBXLVIII I KNEW we would kick their ass the same reason the LOB did: They had never faced a defense all year long anywhere NEAR the historic defense of the LOB. That fact was proven clear from the start to the finish.

SBXLIX I thought we had a good chance to beat Tom Brady. Not great because our defense was banged up. Of course we should have won the game (and it was one of the best Super Bowl games of all time to be perfectly honest), but I never felt as confident going into that game as I did the year before.

SBLX I feel strangely calm and confident. I do think we win the game because we just are all around the best team in the NFL. But I am not as confident as I was for XLVIII. I think Vrabel and that team has had to endure talk all week long about how they are the underdogs and most are picking the Seahawks. I don’t like that! I wish it was the other way around.

Teams can get fired up around a cause. A few trick plays and confidence and this game can go places we don’t want to consider.

I still think we will win but I have a suspicion my BP is going to be more elevated than I was hoping for.

I agree 100% but will say that this team and coaching staff has consistently, to a man, never listened to or played based on the outside noise. They are hyper focused on themselves and playing their brand of football. I’d be far more worried about it in previous years but this team is a band of brothers ready for war. The love they show for one another, the belief they have in who they are as a team, and the opportunity in front of them to finish the mission they started is tangible. This team is special. Teams like this that are bought in and together are NOT easily broken.

I have the same confidence in this team as I did 48. This team is much better .. err well.. more balanced in all 3 phases that the one in 48. And more balanced top to bottom than the opponent it’s playing. Realistically the difference or “x” factor is Vabrel and McDaniels. Vabrel because he loves to play .. Dan Campbell-ish aka aggressive “all or nothing” and McDaniel who’s been there 10yrs and has ran the Offense and will use trick plays or entirely change the playbook in Post Season (and yes Edelman and other former Players have said Belichik/McDaniel would do that)

But I like our Team more. If this was the Rams Vs Patriots then the general consensus would be the Rams over the patriots. Why do I use them as an example? They’re the next closest team to us. Almost identical. BUT unlike the Patriots, also battle tested.

Lastly again I cannot simply overlook that the Patriots with Vabrel in Yr One a former Patriot player was literally gifted historically the Easiest Schedule. If it wasn’t so significantly easy okay, but we’re talking the EASIEST in 47 yrs… that’s absolutely a gift from the now or newly (iirc) retired schedule makers.

We're the best team in the league and too well coached to let this slip between our fingers.

I knew we'd win the second time we played the Rams, week 18, and both playoff games and I'm here to tell you we win today.

Of our four Superbowl appearances, I am absolutely the most confident for today's game. Our team is truly on a mission... and they will not be denied... period!!

I feel sorry for Drake “Drake Maye” Maye. He will have the “deer in the headlights” look early in this game.

Good morning everyone….

4 Seahawks Super Bowls in team history and most of us here are lucky enough to have been alive to have seen all or most of them.

Lots of fans never experience this. I’ll never take it for granted.

I’m always nervous before big games but Happy Gameday everyone…..we’re going to remember this day the rest of our lives.

LFG!

I'm in the minority that thought that Denver had no shot.

40 and 49 I think I felt the same going in. It could go either way

60 im concerned with Mcdaniels and Vrabel having good game plan, but for some reason, felt more confident for 48

I'm also in the minority in comparing 40 vs 49 losses.

I feel 40 was worse for me because it felt like a slow dagger from the first penalty on D jacks to the final Gun.

Plus dealing with the reality of not knowing when they were getting back

49. Bullet to the Head. It was a little softened because they got their win in 48

XL...kind of figured by the win one for the bus bs we were gonna get screwed by the league...then it happened. Honestly I knew we were gonna lose to the agenda.

48...got really scared about the agenda lol leading up to this one. Us vs a legacy team and legacy named qb. Not on that day...our team was just too dominant. I was on edge for two weeks reading up to it.

49...really thought we were gonna win. Was on such a high after being at the nfccg I thought it was gonna come down right to the last play to beat the cheaters and it did...the blow up after that play was epic. I was so worried about the refs in that one that I didn't see a path where we beat ourselves by trying to get one player his mvp prize by jeopardizing a 2nd title win for everyone else.

60...I'll admit never saw this coming...the previous super bowls I was confident we could get there but I thought it was too early with this version. Proved wrong...haven't kept up at all the last couple of weeks with the hype and media stuff. I am confident on a win but anything can happen so not being over confident. Haven't been thinking about it as much as the previous games but admit im not as much as a committed fan of sports in general as I used to be. Ill be pumped at game time though.
