I have been keeping an eye on the MVP odds. A week ago Darnold was #12, now #5. JSN a week ago was #16, now #14.

With plenty of games left, it's not crazy talk.

So, uh, who wants to let him walk and get a new QB starting for the first time out there next year?

Nobody is more filthy than Sam and JSN right now.

Prove me wrong.

I hate to say it, but if the whiners make the playoffs, shanahan has to be coach of the year. He's practically rolling out guys with crutches.

I don’t think folks more importantly Niner fans realize how good they have it with Shanny. Sure, they haven’t won it all but to be fair he’s outstanding coach and gets the most out of his roster no matter what.

When Pete was at the tail end here in Seattle I was hoping for a young innovative coach like Shanahan to guide this club through the next decade. Seems like we might have one in Mac. That being said, the NFCW is home to I believe two and soon to be three of the best coaches in football in hopefully Mac, McVay, and Shanny and that’s a fact.

I think Shane Steichen and Mike Vrabel are the only ones that should be considered with Mac at this point.

The Niners have a relatively easy schedule moving forward with games against Ten, Cle, Car, and Az. which could catapult them into the playoffs, but what NE, IND, SEA have done have been more impressive IMO.

I could mention one other worthy candidate but I don’t want @SoulfishHawk to blow a gasket. I’m sure @RedAlice would approve though.

Mcvay has his issues, including some stagnation and @RedAlice doesn’t disagree.
