You know there was another team on the field and they even have really good players? Guess what? Really good players make great plays....even when they play for the 49ers. Pretty shocking right?

The only thing Earl did wrong on that play was get outrun by Richard Sherman. That really surprised me as I figured ET was probably the fastest man on the team, but Sherman outran him.

E.T. made about a twenty yard sprint full speed got juked then had to turn and run. I admit I didn't see where Sherm came from but I'm guessing he had a straight line to Gore. At least more so than Earl.

It's one play. Gonna happen to the best of them. Calm down.

It wasn't one play, he left his spot several times today when he thought he could help some where else and they ran plays into his empty area.

I think he had a shitty day today and can bitch about it if I want to.

Several plays today he (and others) went not to the ball but to where they thought the ball was going to be and got burned almost everytime.

ninnirs took advantage of our over playing and made us pay. Who knows,,,if he had stayed home that one time we might have won 17-16.

17???? Our vaunted offense got 17 points? Boy off to the races for us. I'm thinking we didn't excucute very well.

Earl Thomas always had some problems to tackle. This year, he kinda fixes this and probably become all-pro; however, this play will downgrade IMO.

I know he's lost a step here and there, but last I knew, Frank Gore was a pretty damned good RB.

Our defense gives up 19 points and the sky is falling? They overplayed everything and got burned every play when losing by 2 points in the last 26 seconds? I assume you're being sarcastic because if you're not it's time to get a grip. As a couple people mentioned the 49ers have good players and Frank Gore is one of them.

Earl was largely absent today. The 49ers were just terrified to go over the middle. Wagner overran the play, Thomas has to be there. He knows, and almost always gets it done. Terrible timing to puke on yourself though.

Yes, how about maybe Frank Gore made a great cutback move. That lateral running was elite, everyone on the back 7 was fooled, not only ET.

Yep. We bit and he cut.

SF scores 19 points and the world is ending.

Gore is a good RB, albeit a good OLD RB and he had one guy to beat and made the right cut. It's not inexcusable considering how well we've tackled in the open field this entire year.

Granted, Earl got burned on that play. He got caught in the wash instead of waiting for Gore to make his cutback, and it cost us dearly. But it was just one play. As in all close games, there were dozens of plays throughout the game that had they gone our way, could have changed the outcome. IMO our failure to punch it in on our last drive was what killed us. I have a hard time blaming a defense that limits an opponent to just one touchdown.

I was wondering about that play too. I yelled "Thomas will get him!" only to watch Sherman run past Thomas. I'm sure Thomas just didn't have the angle, but I think Sherman's speed is underrated.

No he missed the last tackle and so did 3 others miss their assignments, you though need to get the hell out your a browns fan.

No, it's seesurfers who is the Browns fan. Seaswab is just a guy who seems to take every opportunity to criticize various players. coaches, etc.

If nothing else, we scored a big victory in the wake of this defeat in properly identifying who is actually the worst pessimist/troll of all: even cesame reacted reasonably to this loss, where Seaswab continued to do his thing. It was a long and hard-fought battle, but he finally won the crown.
