I expected him to be a bit higher, but still nice to see him recognized by his peers.

I like that: "more fuel to the fire".

These guys are going to be motivated again this year. I serioiusly think Browner should be thugging people.....he's getting dissed more than any of the other LoB.

@SE174: if thats the case the good god. All Safeties are underrated by their own peers. damn.

Still an absolutely ridiculous ranking. Thomas is a top 5 safety at the absolute worst and IMO at least a top 40 or top 30 player in the league if not higher.

Rankings in general suck a big one.

Earl's a top 50 guy and every offensive coordinator would likely agree.

There is no way (today's) Ed Reed is even in the same ballpark as Thomas and I think Reed would be the first to admit as much.

we are talking about the top 66 players in the NFL and at least 27-30 of those are going to be QB/WR/RB.

I don't think it's a huge slight to ET.

anyways look on the b right side. we went from charlie whitehurst and tarvaris at QB to a guy that is higher than #60 on the top 100 players ahead of Pig Ben Worthlessburger.

Yeah I tend to agree - he is already widely considered the best player at his position - what more can you ask for.

what's more is his impact is hidden from most players, fans and the media.

I think that premium positions whose impact is more visible will be higher up the list.

Wow, I don't blame him. Who's better at his position? Seriously. He's got to be Top 50 right? That isn't unrealistic.

I'm going to guess Eric Weddle will be the only safety above him. Maybe Reed but hopefully not. I'm going to predict that this is the last year Earl isn't considered the top safety in the league. He is going to get the numbers with a (hopefully) improved pass rush. QB's won't have time to avoid throwing his way and I doubt all those dropped INTs are going to happen again. He's going to rise up big time this season. Just wait.
