Mine is Cashius Howell. If he's there at 32 I hope they grab him. If he's gone, then trade down for more picks.

I really have only one draft crush this year, and it's someone Seattle has no chance at, and that's Reuben Bain Jr.

He was a stud at Miami. Unfortunately I think with his measurable, he could be Nick Fairley 2.0.

If your consensus order is roughly:
  1. Cisse
  2. Brailsford
  3. Slaughter
  4. Moore
  5. Lee
Then you’re dealing with a cluster that likely spans:
  • Late Day 2 → mid Day
That’s exactly the range where Schneider loves to:
  • trade down multiple times
  • stack picks
  • target “his guys” in tiers

What a realistic path looks like

If Seattle:
  • trades down from an early pick → picks up an extra 2nd/3rd
  • trades down again → adds a 4th/5th
They could realistically end up with 5–7 picks between ~40–150

From there:
  • Cisse → target early in that cluster (2nd / early 3rd)
  • Brailsford / Slaughter → mid-round targets (3rd–4th)
  • Moore / Lee → later swings (5th–6th)

Most likely outcome

Landing 3 of the 5 is very doable
Landing 4 is possible but requires:
  • strong conviction on the group
  • and timing the board well
A realistic haul might look like:
  • Cisse
  • Slaughter
  • Moore
or
  • Brailsford
  • Slaughter
  • Lee

The catch

  • If Cisse goes earlier than expected, he becomes the hardest piece to include
  • The rest (especially Moore/Lee) are much easier to cluster together late

At CB I like Ponds out of Indiana a lot. Also top 30 visits from Colton Hood and Brandon Cisse for a position group in that early first or early day 2 pick. The white safety out of Oregon…..I want to say Thieneman could be a great fit with our schematics

One of my favorite players in the draft for the Seahawks is Iowa center Logan Jones. He is a Very good pass blocker but isn’t the strongest but is effective in wide zone run blocking. He is being projected as a 3rd rd pick

A few of the guys I like for the Seahawks (I have had these players mocked to the Seahawks in 2026 mock drafts that I have posted here in the last couple of months)...

(OLB/DE) Malachi Lawrence 6'4" 252 lbs, UCF:
Lawrence for me is a top-10 player in this draft. If he is there when we draft at #32 in the 1st round, then I hope to the football gods that we select him. It's crazy to me that most media scouts have him as 2nd - 3rd round prospect. My comp for Malachi is former Cowboys (DE/OLB) DeMarcus Ware. Lawrence has the same height, weight, length, and athletic profile as Ware did coming out of Troy State. Ware like Lawrence was considered a top of the 2nd round or late 1st round prospect, Ware ended up being drafted 11th overall in the 1st round of the 2005 NFL draft. The knock on Ware was how he would do against the run. Both players have low key personalities, yet both are relentless pass rushers. Malachi is natural pass rusher, with a deep bag pass rush moves to get to the QB.

(OLB/DE) Zion Young Missouri 6'5" 262 lbs, Missouri: Alpha dog that loves football.

(RG) Keylan Rutledge 6'4" 316 lbs, Georgia Tech: He is now starting to get projected as a late 1st round prospect.

(FS/CB) Bud Clark 6'1" 190 lbs, TCU: Clark is a ballhawking player that I believe can play nickel CB and take over FS next year. I don't know if he will be there for us in the late 2nd round, but if he is he would be an amazing selection.

I have big time concerns about M. Lawrence's lower half.

Ware was thick in his lower half. Lawrence plays so high. His hands are really good though.

Ware had the same body type in college as Lawrence has now. Ware looks like he put on weight once he got to the NFL. Here is a picture of Ware in college, he looks skinnier in the legs than how he looked once he got to the NFL...

I don't necessarily agree with Lawrence playing so high. I think too much is being focused on him not being as bending as a couple of the other 1st round prospects. He has great initial quickness, great speed to chase down ball carriers, great hands, multiple counter moves/has a pass rush plan, can long arm dudes, also has shown the ability to run through offensive lineman when he catches them off balance, motor always runs hot.

A lot of these other 1st round DE/OLB prospects have issues more profound than Lawrence. For example, both Arvell Reece and Keldrick Faulk are incredibly raw pass rushers and their draft status is based more on projection because of them being good athletes and being young (under 21). They are big projects and are riskier prospects.

Lawrence is one of the better pure pass rushers in this draft class. I think he has the biggest array of moves. If the Seahawks select with the #32 pick then I'm all for it. I see the fit and the role. He brings a lot of juice from the Edge.

However, I disagree about him being a top 10 player. The warts in the run game are big. His lower half has a lot to do with it and his pad levels. He gets washed out against legit OTs. Lawrence doesn't always have the greatest pass rush discipline. He rushes the way he does in the NFL -- Tackles & mobile QBs will take advantage. He can't really set Edges when the play is going towards his side.

But, I do like him. His warts will be hidden behind all of the Edges we already have if we draft him. I just don't love him. He isn't really one of my dudes in this draft class. Different soda flavors for everyone though.

More tape of Zion Young and his teammate (DT) Chris McClellan. : )
I like C-7 for the Seahawks in the 3rd or 4th round. Big man gets pressures and he is good against the run.

This story is nothing new it came up when it happened it was a terrible accident that the charges finally dropped and it wasn’t because Bain was a star he was a no name at the time. The parents of the girl who died forgave Bain and wished him well with his life.

I've heard and read recently that draft experts think that DT Caleb Banks will fall to the bottom of the first round, due to the fact that he broke his foot at the combine. (The same foot he broke earlier in 2025.) If that happens, there is no way the Seahawks can pass on him. I know the Seahawks already have Williams and Murphy, but this is a guy who was projected to be a top-ten pick at one point.

His foot is due to be healed before training camp. I hope that he falls to the Seahawks at 32.

I'm a sucker for big athletic DTs and I would love to have him on the Seahawks. But he has had 3 foot injuries in the last 1 1/2 years which makes drafting him a boom-or-bust prospect. Last year we drafted 3 players coming off injuries and two of the three got injured again while the third didn't recover from his injury until the playoffs. So I'm curious how willing JS is to stomach drafting injured players this year.

Banks would be the perfect fit for DE on our 3-4 defense, but I don't want to take home run swings on boom-or-bust prospects.
