Pederson is very likely to be fired after this season, if Seattle were to decide that Grubb isn't a good fit and let him go after 1 season, would you guys want Pederson as OC?

Jaguars offense is ranked 25th. Not very inspiring considering Seattle's current offense ranks significantly higher.

In 2023 they were 13th and in 2022 they were 10th.

That is a creep in the wrong direction.

Even if Grubb doesn't work out, I'd rather we keep taking swings at the next innovator who will really challenge the league rather than try to land someone will at best fall more into the category of being solid but unspectacular. That's the trophy move IMO.

I'm just hoping for a win on Sunday. We're 9 games into his first ever season in the NFL. I get the concern, but it does seem a bit premature to be talking about the next guy already.
You are a patient man, I envy your family members, they have someone to be appreciated.

I wish I was more patient. I just am of the opinion that it's too early. But I'll leave it at that.
Not trying to get into arguments or debates these days. Just happy to be here and avoid fines.
Lol, if you like to debate or pick ion something or someone, pick me or one of my posts. I will either bore you to death and no problem in accepting defeats.

Isn't Doug quite old?
I suppose a benefit would be, Doug had his second time around. Chances are if he were to become Seattle's new OC (hypothetically) and do a good job running it, the chances of him getting picked off to be a HC a third time is significantly a lower chance because of age and recent track record.

I think Doug would command more respect from players than Grubb.

Pretty much anyone would be an improvement at this juncture, but Pederson is a good option.

Something especially important to consider for this team is that the offensive coordinator needs to be able to operate self-sufficiently with little oversight. Mac isn't going to be able to provide as much offensive support as many other head coaches given his background and the fact that he's the defensive playcaller.

We need a guy who is comfortable essentially being the head coach of the offense. I'd look to guys who have had some success running their own show.

This is why I gravitate toward the Chip Kelly and Doug Pederson types. If not them, then at least guys with some positive NFL experience.

I cannot fathom why we rolled the dice on a guy from college who was an underling of a stud offensive HC and had zero NFL experience, not to mention showed a tendency to straight up not run the ball.

Absolutely, he would be an upgrade for sure. I would be all for this.

Ideally, Grubb will come around, but if he doesn't, Pederson is a fine option for OC. I'm not super encouraged by what the Jags are doing on offense, but some guys are just better as coordinators. Not bad to have the guy who learned under Andy Reid.

Not a fan of the Jags offense. Way too Trevor centric. So many wasted weapons and a painful team to watch. McDaniel would be my target, if it doesn't work out in Miami.
