It's obviously a ridiculously flawed system. The only reason it's relevant is because NFL Network chose to devote hours of programming discussing it. The list shouldn't be taken seriously at all. Any one of us could put together a more accurate list.

Didn't at least one person vote for the same player 20 times or something like that? The NFLN Top100 is an invalid list and everyone knows it.

Roddy White said he didn't vote either IIRC.

List sounds like a sham put together to kick up something to talk about in a slow slow off-season.

NFL network has been making more of disagreement of the actual rankings than anything else. It is kind of like BCS controversy, the disagreement over rankings is perceived as bad, but the interest stirred up is invaluable. Water cooler and message board outrage is more important than accuracy. If the NFLN wanted accurate rankings, they would have offensive and defensive coordinators rank the top 50 players they hate game planning for. Separate lists, and a 3rd list for quarterbacks.

Any list that has Patrick Peterson above Richard Sherman and Jamal Charles over Marshawn is Bleacher Report caliber.

I think the only thing that's good about this list is that it's pissing some of our guys off like Earl Thomas.

Not like Thomas needs additional motivation, but I like the way our guys play with a chip on their shoulder.

Nope. Aaron Hernandez deserves to be given hell every day for the rest of his life. Let it begin now.

So Tony Romo said he didnt vote and doesnt know of any Cowboy who did. Im really trying to wrap my head around this whole "player voting" methodology. I get that all these list are opinions and popularity and therefor really dont matter or hold any merit. But if your going to hype the list being a vote from the players, shouldnt some of the players voted?

Ive been trying to search the answer for this and it seems like nothing comes up.

Too soon??? I think it sounds about 6 months too late considering he's under investigation for another double murder that went unsolved in Boston and God knows what else this guy has done. Something to do with his uncle's silver SUV (which Hernandez had access to) with Rhode Island plates that the Boston cops impounded and two people getting shot and killed 6 months ago. This guy is a complete moron. Who thinks they are a gangster when you are player in the NFL? Dude was given a lottery ticket and pissed all over it. He deserves the harshest punishment they can give him which will be life in prison. I feel bad for his unborn child, what evil bastard this guy is.

If you watch the top-100 program, while paying attention to what the interviewees are wearing, it is clear that these are pro-bowl players and the interviews are being conducted in Hawaii. The lei's around most of the necks are a dead giveaway.

Thus, I'll go out on a limb and say that the players saying they weren't consulted, or given a chance to vote, stayed back on the mainland that weekend.
