My sister's boyfriend spotted @ochocinco in Seattle today. Secret Seahawks tryout? @fieldgulls

Ochocinco is slow as hell now. Unless he transforms, like Anquan Boldin, into a big-bodied guy with a big catch radius that can shield guys off and make tough catches regularly, I don't know that he would be useful to us.

But if the staff does see a bit of Boldin in him, maybe they bring him in if Chris Harper needs some pushing.

And yes, I know this is "my sister's boyfriend's hairdresser" stuff that I doubt actually means anything, but I'm just trying to figure out what a useful Eight Five would look like in terms of what we have on this team.

Hi yall...my first post:

It appears to be a recent video of Ocho running 24 mph on a treadmill.

Hi.

That's treadmill speed. I'm talking about on the field against high-caliber cornerbacks speed.

If he is even brought in it will only be to show him the door. Pete loves bringing these old big names in to shake it up a little. Make the other receivers wonder if that guy will steal a spot from them and causing them to bust ass and improve as much as possible to prevent it. Then he will release said Vet and tell the guys they are better than him. Provide a camp body to soak up some of the preseason bruises and build the ego's of his future stars. Gotta love it.

85 = a big distraction and an ingredient to the chemistry that the SEAHAWKS can do without. That's my story and sticking to it.

He would be the vinegar on our baking soda?
yes indeed. I see team after team that have been loaded with talent miss the mark, for no obvious reason. I personally attribute this to how the team gets along, on and of the field. I think the Hawks are united and gelling well in those regards. I think 85 has talent and can still play. I just don't see him mixing well with this squad. So yes IMO vinegar in our baking soda. GO HAWKS

The Doucet signing was kind of a head scratcher to begin with.
:13: I was kind of wondering myself.....why? Apparently, Percy's surgery went well and they expect him back.

I really don't think Ocho has a place here, except maybe like RnH said, just to stir things up a bit and then cut him. A couple of practices against BB and Sherm and he'd be crying like a baby.

Early Doucet is this years Antonio Bryant who was last years Reggie Williams. We will see this every offseason at the WR position . It pushes everybody already on the team and it also leaves no stone unturned.

Per the NFL transaction report, the #Seahawks terminated Early Doucet's contract for, "Failure to Disclose Physical Condition."

Wonder what that means.

It means he was trying to hide something so he could get that paycheck.
Yeah, that's really gonna endear him to all the front offices throughout the league.

Ehh. T.O. and Kellen Winslow didn't last long with the team. Ocho might not either.

Surprised he's even being mentioned at this point (Ocho Cinco). Last I remember there were nothing but obituaries about his career out there. The general consensus was that he was done and done.

There is a lot of gratuitous speculation in this thread. Remember, all this "Ocho Cinco" talk is based on the fact that someone 'supposedly' saw him in Seattle. Nothing has been reported anywhere else. If he was coming in for a workout, why would he just be walking around Seattle...and why would he do it when the team was heading to San Diego?

Doesn't make sense.

This reminds me of the Urlacher spotting in the off-season, and everyone jumped the shark on that one too.

I thought he was in jail for slapping his lawyers behind? :D
He had 30 days if I recall. Interesting reaction by the judge and kinda funny at the same time.
