How is Nick Emanwori doing? I remember you hating him pretty passionately all offseason. You win some, you lose some I guess. I do agree that Darnold isn't it but he was definitely our best option given the circumstances.

This is where I'm harshest on him. It's my absolute dealbreaker in a quarterback.

I made a couple comments saying I thought Nick was overdrafted. Doesn't qualify as passionate.

I've also acknowledged I was wrong.

Darnold was a better option for more regular season wins. Not for postseason success though.

There are 5-6 other QBs we might win less games with, but have better postseason success with.
The point of getting a good record is to succeed in the postseason. If you lose any postseason game you play, it hardly matters.

This is a good enough defense that a much worse QB,who isn't a liability in big games, would have been a better choice. I might even suggest Geno gives us a better chance in the postseason...which is crazy talk. But he has won big games for us before (also lost ridiculous games for us). Darnold wins nothing big. Maybe ever.
