It makes Russell THE greatest qb ever.
I mean, if we conceivably win next year, and RW makes a run for a 3rd ring in the next 5 years, he'll be 1st ballot, HOF, no doubt. Winning at 25 certainly gives you an unreal advantage.
Aikman had really average statistical seasons but is viewed as all time great because of the rings.
The biggest misconception is that Wilson will continue being the same QB for his career --believe me, he won't. Some may not remember very clearly, but Tom Brady was NOT the QB he is today early in his career. When he was actually winning all those superbowls, he was in fact, a lesser player than Wilson is today. I'm talking about pocket passer wise.
In his SB year of 2001, in the regular season, Brady completed 63.9% of his passes for a measly 2800 yards with 18tds and 12 INTs at a QB rating in the mid 80's. In his superbowl win, he passed for 145 yards and had 1 TD and 0 INts. Very "pedestrian" if I do say so myself. This was the level he was at, in that part of his career. He had a GREAT defense and GREAT talent surrounding him, just like Wilson does today. But he was a "game manager."
Point is, it takes 4-5 years for a QB to grow into the player they are going to be. Wilson is in his 2nd year, he is going to continue to grow and learn, and in year 4-5, he is going to put up 4000-5000 yards passing and 40 TDs in a year. It takes time for all QBs to grow. Just look at Manning's 2nd year in the league, very "pedestrian" when compared to his 5th.
