All I'm hearing now on various networks is how Seattle won, but perhaps a totally different game if RGIII wasn't hampered with knee problem. Does anyone think we would have loss otherwise. I think it might have been a closer game, but I believe we still would have won.

Thoughts?

To hell w/ that. A "W" is a "W".

Injured, beat up, not fully healthy. That's everyone at this point of the year. Not our fault they played a beat up RGIII vice a healthy Counsins?!?!!

Enough of the if this, what if crap.

We won, it was a good game.

No?

Of course it would be a different game if RG3 were healthy. It also would be a different game if Orakpo and Carriker weren't on IR. But they are.

See other thread on respect. All the headlines are guys second guessing "the knee! Thy holy knee!" It's a team sport and if RW had gotten hurt (knock on wood) they wouldn't be saying any of this. It's the classic Seahawks treatment.

Every team has to deal with injuries. How they deal with them speaks to how good the team/coaching and schemes are. Every team has had injuries this year, although arguably few as costly as that one, they did have another professional QB on the bench who they thought highly enough to draft in the 4th round...

He probably shouldn't have been playing on it to begin with. He never looked right and I think a bad call to risk your future to try and win now. That said you play with you you have, they did and we won.

Robert Griffin stated in his post game interview that the knee did not affect his throwing. If a quarterback cannot lead his team to victory using his arm then he needs a lot of work as a QB.

edit: I know that Wilson runs as well, but he is a QB that can run, not a RB that can throw. Sorry if that offends people but Griffin is not a world beater. His numbers are skewed by excessive WR screens. I was particularly turned off by his excuse making for the interception as well. He claimed that the WR was held the entire time.

It's not our fault RGIII was running recklessly when he first injured his knee against Balt. Our QB on the other hand is smarter than that and knows how to stay healthy.

Maybe if they had coached him to be a pocket passer from the get go this would not have been a big deal, but since they let him rely on his gifts as an athlete instead of a quarterback you gotta live with it.

They took the exact opposite approach that Carroll and the hawks did. We literally forced Russ to be a quarterback FIRST, once he got a grip on that then we opened things up and allowed him to freelance.

No asterisk here.

RG3's injury had nothing to do with the Hawks Offense running all over them in the last 3 quarters.

The what-if game is stupid. What if Marshawn hadn't fumbled at the 2? What if the Hawks had turned a couple of those FG drives into TDs, like they normally have this year?

What if Wilson doesn't overlook a wide open Sidney Rice and overthrow a wide open Doug Baldwin. There is another fourteen points right there.

Red Bryant is battling foot issues, and they ran right at him for their first couple of scoring drives. Should probably take both of the Redskins TDs off the board if we are handing out asterisks.

Really? An asterisk?! Give me a break! Of course the game would have been different but to what extent, we will never know.

While we clearly benefited from some questionable coaching decisions on behalf of the 'skins, the fact remains that we overcame a 14 point deficit to beat the crap out of them in a horribly demoralizing fashion.

Like CANHAwk said, RG3 trying to be Superman and diving headfirst after he already had a first down and getting that original knee injury because of it is RG3's own fault. This is the NFL, people are bigger and they know how to tackle.

It's part of your job as a quarterback to stay healthy. Not our problem Bob sucks at that part.

Beat me to it.

RGIII is almost never going to be healthy for a playoff game. Shanahan won't protect him, and neither will the Redskins with that turf. Between Snyder and Ratface, they're going to snuff out a budding star early.
