He was signed in November of last year. They had a plan for him when quickly signed after his release from the Dolphins. He's been grinding away since then. Adding some range, quickness and strength since his arrival. More reps brings about more improvement. He is already a force against the run as we witnessed with his Thursday night stop in the end zone for a 2 point safety. Coaches have a role for him. Looks to me like he is very much on track.

He definitely seems to be a quality add in the Clinton MacDonald/Al Woods/Tony McDaniel vein, not that all those guys had the same role as Pili (or each other) but just that you want good rotational depth that can start in a pinch. I had underestimated him.

I suspect he has solidly moved up the DC since camp began and maybe even a bit before.
