Released instead of traded or benched., releasing means we will still be paying him, right? Ummm, could it be that:
He wasn't coachable? Or, no teams wanted to trade for him? And/or he asked to be released upon im ring benched?
Otherwise why not bench him as a backup.
Not coachable or not on-board with the program.... which could be a good thing -
see PC when he first got to town, knew exactly ehat he wanted, and refused to play guys like Lendale White if they had the wrong attitude.
Or it could be a bad thing... a sign that the coach is preaching something some players are calling BS on and he needs to get any voices of dissent out of town.
See PC in 2015 when he started to clean house of all the LOB ... voices that he tbought would challenge his chosen way of doing things.
In 2010, it was the right thing.
In 2015, it was the wrong thing.
Which is it with Mac? Dont know. But there's certainly a few things amiss, and it's not just at the player level.
Pulling for Mac though, because if it's the coaching thats not working, it's a true rebuild we are looking at, and not a short one.
