Cool story, but not sure where he fits. RB/FB is pretty crowded.

I went into the first game not thinking about Coleman at all. He ended up making as many nice plays as anyone. I'm going to focus on his run blocking next time around (I have no idea if it's good or bad). He looks superb at everything else. Given that the Seahawks have the full attention of the league these days, I'm guessing that very few of our current 90 man players are PS safe. The way Coleman is playing, we'll probably have to commit a roster spot to keep him. But if Mike-Rob still has 3-4 years left in the tank, is Coleman worth the roster burden? If Robinson was gone for sure after this season, I'd keep Coleman, but Robinson had his best season last year, IMO. I think he's got plenty of gas in the tank. Plus he's awesome off the field.

It's a tough call.

They are using Coleman at FB a little in practice, from what I've heard. That's an interesting sign.

I think the 5th RB spot between Coleman and Ware is going to be a very tough call.

I frankly think he's a good bit ahead of Ware at present with 16 days left to go before the final cuts.

He is a ferocious ST player as we saw against SD. He's fast 4.50/40, and is 230. At present he's a much better option than Ware as the backup FB. The ST players will have a lot of traction when the final cuts are considered.

You have to believe the team will really try to keep Coleman around even if it is only on the PS.

Wow! What a story.

Mike Rob might be the best ST's player we have on our team, but Coleman looked to be just as special in that department based on the first preseason game. He'll probably make an NFL roster just for his ST play if he's cut from the Seahawks.

And if I had to make a way-to-early guess, thats probably what will end up happening. While great at ST, I thought Coleman's play at FB was average against the Chargers. Unless he's replacing Mike Rob, I think a roster spot goes to Ware, instead, who is a good special teamer himself and has a lot of potential as a short yardage 3rd down back.

I liked what I saw against the Chargers, remember nobody is going to be as instinctive as Mike Rob since they have not had the experience in this offense he has. Since their are so few Fullback around I could see him getting picked up, it would need to be a team that would fit his handicapped situation and work with it though.

He looked good against SD, and he impressed me a little more than Ware at the training camp I went to, IIRC. Pulling for this guy.

I don't know if anyone else noticed, but in last week's game when Coleman came back to the sidelines, the waterboy came to his side and asked him if he wanted water a couple times, but it looked like Coleman was straight up ignoring him. Then I read this bit yesterday and understood why. Ha.

Awesome story, though.
