I'm calmed down a LITTLE bit after the beating we took last night. After rewatching the game and analyzing everything that I can think of with some help of some friends. I have come to one conclusion on our season up to this point. Our defense is fine, always has been. It takes a a complete team effort to win in this league and we're not doing that. Our ENTIRE offense needs to be revamped from the bottom to the top and it starts with Grubb and Geno. I never wanted to resign Geno nor did I want Grubb calling plays. I said it a million times already to people outside this forum. If we start to see issues and inconsistencies with this team it's gonna be with the offense, and I was right. We had an 7 yard per carry attempt with our run game last night and we abandoned it. Zack had what, 8 carries total, that's unacceptable. You will not win games in this league like that. IMHO I think we move on from Grubb and Gebo after the season despite what happens the next 3 games. Nothing is lining up, something is off and the vision Coach Mike has and what Grubb has put on the field are completely different.

The way Grubb goes away from the run and keeps doing it should get him shitcanned. It's inexcusable.

While I agree with most of what you said, once you dig yourself a 20-3 hole you can only stick with the run so much.

The defense was absolutely horrible in the first half while the offense actually moved the ball but only came away with 3 points due to Geno's pick.

7-0 was the difference in sacks last night. We put ourselves in long down and distance and they tee'd off. Conversely Jordan Love saw one 3rd and long and that was only because they had a false start penalty on 3rd and 5 to make it 3rd and 10. I repeat, one 3rd and long in 12 possession.

Well in defense of the defense. After they got ran over by Jacobs in a long drive, I knew they were in trouble (again) after the offense did a 5 downs and out.

GB didn't even see a 3rd down on the second drive. 8 plays 80 yards for a TD and didn't even have to convert a 3rd down. Hard to blame anyone but the defense for that.

Blatant refusal to run the ball when it was working. I'm done with Grubb. And I tried to stick up for him all season. Nope, he's in over his head.

GB was down 17-7 at half against Detroit and they stuck with the run. They nearly won that game

WOW, i haven't been part of this board for very long but the "everything is S**T" on our team displayed here is getting to the point of ridiculousness. Getnasty made a good point here in that once you get that far behind you pretty much have to abandon the run to get back in the game. You allow the opposing defense to pin back their ears and rush the QB every time. With that said once your back in the game you can get back to a more balanced attack and try to win. I just like almost everyone else on this board got sucked in to early success and raised my expectations from my beginning prediction of what I thought our record would be. After going back and looking at our season and reviewing my prediction i can see we are right where i thought we would be with the exception of the loss to the Giants. If we had won that game we would be 9-5 and in control of our own destiny. there have been many on here that have tempered their expectations and understand that whether we like it or not this is a re-building year and a throw away year to get ALL the coaches and players up to NFL game speed and design to be able to compete.

Now with that said i am not going to sit here and say that there haven't been times when i was frustrated with some of the on field play and design, but we have to QUIT calling for everyone's head after each game let vision take hold. I for my one sanity have decided to reserve my frustration until the team and coaches get at least two years of putting the vision in place to see if this is going to work. If after next season we are still having troubles and not improving like I expected we would, then i think some of the frustration and disappointment would certainly be warranted. So can we please turn down the heat a little and give the organization the time this sort of process takes?

As a fan since there inception I think I am more frustrated with the fact we have no home field advantage anymore. The amount of other team fans that appear at our home games is sickening to me. If i would afford season tickets i would have them, but to give away or sell them to opposing teams fans and allow our stadium to filled with them is disheartening to me. I understand the whole "better on field product more fans theory" but if your a fan and you support your team you stick with them in good times and bad.
Rant over.

Interesting. I think both offense and defense are terrible. We cannot stop the run period. Opposing quarterbacks almost every week have near perfect performances. We are bottom ten in sacks. The simplest things work against the defense. Oh yeah and don't forget, we have played an easy ass schedule. Possibly the easiest in the whole league.

Did you not watch the team in the 4-game winning streak? The defense was lights out.
Easiest schedule in the league? Um........ok.

They finally played a good team and got crushed. Nothing more to say. They aren’t as good as the best team in the league, plain and simple.

The defense is fine imo. I played high school and college football and it's a team sport. Both offense and defense BOTH have to play good. Some people are shitting on the defense, why? The offense can't get 1 yard half of the time. If we played offense like we did last week, we blow GB out. I've said this a million times already and it's not sinking in about the offense. Grubb and Geno are not it, they're just not. People feel some type of way about Smith for whatever reason. I NEVER wanted to resign that dude or hire Grubb to call the offense. As soon as the Grubb thing was announced I told my friend that the Hawks are going to struggle immensely on offense because Grubb is allergic to running the ball. Grubb brought that BS college scheme to the pro level and it ain't working at all. I thought we turned a corner last week and I was really excited and I told that same friend this is what we need to do to win out and have a deep playoff run. The route concepts in Grubb's offense don't even make sense half of the time. Why is that dude calling long developing plays on 3rd and 2, why? it makes no sense at all. At this point I don't know if we'll win at all the next 3 games.

Who has claimed they are as good as the best team? And GB isn't the best team in the league. Not one person has said the Hawks are the best team in the league.

I'm kinda sick of the 'well who did they play' thing about the win streak. Yes the Jets are pansies and played a miserable game that day. But 1 win was over a Niner team with McCaffrey playing. As for the 2 wins over Arizona, in between those 2 games, Arizona played the Vikings, on the road a team with two losses. It took a last minute comeback for the Vikings to win that one.
The last loss before the win streak, that's a game where if it wasn't for turnovers, they would have won. The D held the Rams, the latest "no-one wants to play them" team in check.

Sunday night was a crappy step back. It was ugly. But no need to discount what the team had done the last month up to then.

Not sure why anyone would think the Seahawks have the easiest schedule. The team with the easiest schedule, hands down, are the Cards.

Big difference between a 2 score 10 point lead and a 17 point 3 score lead. 🤷‍♂️
They didn't get that lead until the Sam Howell pick. Grubb abandoned the run long before that and fed Howell to the wolves.

Maybe Grubb would havd a little more success in the run game and maybe mix it up? Running between these tackles consistently is not gonna work. Then to abandon that and got right to the passing game? Everybody knows that's coming. Why not run KW outside outside once in a while? He's A great runner being wasted in this scheme. If I were him, I'd leave when I could and go to a talented team who will know how to use him.
