After last week, shorter prep, and an extremely motivated 0-fer opponent, I think Seattle is the better team and credit to the Tampa game plan early, but any other day of the season Seattle would handle these guys going away.

2 TO absolutely killed early, without those, I don't know if Bucc's make it as close as they did.

I was thinking that too. Hawks traveled a lot the past 5 weeks. The bye can't come soon enough.

Has to be. Time of possession has been completely lopsided the last 2 games

these guys are in the 20's not 40's, seriously doubt they're still tired from a game they played last monday... they sucked a** today because they were undiciplined and missed tackles. played much better in the second half though....

Football is a funny game. They were flat in that first half and got crap calls and crap field position. Still, they had that stunned look of the favorite in a boxing match who can't believe the dog came out swinging haymakers at the bell.

Big Red mentioned fatigued defense in his press conference clip and looking forward to the bye. They could use some rest; they've earned some rest!

You realize they are ALL beat up and hurting right. This is a contact sport

Bye week should help and honestly I prefer it late as long as we keep winning.

A second bye would also help....

Rams lost today. Only one team so far this season has won the next game after playing us.

How many times have we heard "[such and such] says they had their best week of practice this week" about Seattle's opponent? Teams are getting UP for Seattle.

Still sucks games are cut this close. I had hoped we'd be more dominant. We have players coming back, though, so there's reason for optimism that we still can be.

D played a lot more snaps than O last week, kind of looked like they were spread real thin early on, I think they started feeding off adrenaline and the offensive performance from Wilson/Lynch.

I hope these guys get some rest for a few days...

Pete said in his presser that the D is trying to do too much. That they're going for takeaways every play and thus overplaying gaps or missing tackles.

Not only that, but there have been a lot of sick players. They sent ET home last week due to "illness" and not telling how many more of the players were sick. St Louis had some players out this week too due to "illness."

I think there is a lot of fatigue from the road games, time on the field, and whatever this illness is. My guess is it's the flu, it is that season and would effect players stamina and thought processes.

I caught that comment also. Who was the Harvard guy that played for us several years that finally got sent to special teams because he wouldn't stay in his gap and was always giving up big gains?

I'm guessing that type of play is what Pete was referring to.

We need to do something to slow up the runs like we used to, its getting embarrassing.
