Cox will be fine in Seattle.

Carroll coaches up the secondary better than anybody in the league.

And the front 7 is very strong.

You have a consensus best secondary in the nfl with:

1st round pick - Thomas
5th round pick - Sherman
5th round pick - Chancellor
UFA - Browner
4th round pick - Thurmond

That's not elite scouting. That's taking guys who fit a certain physical profile and putting them into positions to succeed. And probably finding ways to mask weaknesses of DBs in general. Take any position group in the nfl that's considered best and I doubt it's mostly 5th round guys with a first round anchor.

Cox may or may not fit the Seahawk profile but I'm sure he will be a better player up north than he was in SF.

How is this Niner fan the voice of reason in this thread? You guys are way too emotional and judgmental.

This. It's going to be a miserable 6 days.

Because he has no emotional connection to our team like we do. It's easy to be emotional when you care.

I fully admit to getting emotional about rape and judgmental towards rapists. I am not a sociopath.

Win at all costs. Even if it means paying rapists money to play football.

It amazes me how you continually make stupid remarks about things you know nothing about.

It's just reality.

Seeing Scott Tolzien put up nfl numbers in GB leads me to believe Alex Smith would be a pro bowl QB there. And those scrub receivers that never make it in SF could go to new Orleans and be in highlight reels.

The way LBs produce in SF is impressive outside the starting four. And defensive line too.

The Giants would kill for LBs like that. And they were the team for that one time.

And about caring for a team? Nonsense. I've cared a long time and always will. Doesnt mean I can't be rational about them and other teams.

Ive cared about the team when Holmgren was our OC turning Joe Montana into a legend and Carroll was our DB coach and DC. Ken Norton jr as our dominant MLB. Jim Mora jr was there at the end of our initial relevance with Mariucci.

Seeing the Seahawks stomp the 49ers in 2010 opener was tough, then losing to Saints on Monday night on my birthday sucked. Watching the 49ers narrowly miss the playoffs at seasons end to St Louis was the peak of the dark days.

We'll see what happens this year. One way or another, the results will matter to me.

True...but sometimes it's good to take a step back and breathe if you find yourself getting too emotional.

Not saying that's you at all, Tech. Just speaking in general.

I will say these 2 things after reading these 5 pages of posts.

Pete is always wiling to give a guy a second chance.
Tim Ruskell loved good high character guys that never get in trouble.

The decision has been made by those who run the team.
Anyone has any insights into this guy's cover skills? When was the last time he played a competitive game? Did he beat out some good competition to get this job?

I was looking on nfl.com, Checking info on Cox and they have it written that WT3 plays Monday Night????? I wish somebody would put this issue to rest. It is kind of a mute point. But will he play or won't he play????

It's "moot point", not mute. And from everything I've read, he's not playing. He'll rejoin the team after the Arizona game.
It's best for him to start the suspension now, so he's ready (and had a practice) for the playoffs.

We should sign George Zimmerman next. He was found not guilty. Line him up on Colston

His daughter Cherish Cox is making quite the name for herself in adult entertainment, I hear.

Guys..I understand we're busy getting caught up in the transformation of the signing of a depth player into a moral indictment of the Seahawks organisation in general, but how could we miss this? This was gold. Kudos sir, kudos.

If you have reading comprehension issues then of course it won't make sense.

Not jazzed about the signing myself but I'm not privy to the evidence the jury had But that wasn't the point of my remark. The point being it's kind of silly to say the guy has no passion for the organization and team that basically gives him the chance to resurrect his NFL career.
