The first Seahawk to wear #5 was punter Rick Engles. He was a 1976 3rd round pick of the Seahawks out of Tulsa. He was a Seahawk from 1976-1977. After punting for the Seahawks he had one additional season in the NFL with the Eagles.

A member of the Seahawks' first draft class!
(I mean the regular NFL draft, not the expansion draft)

Wow. I see him on the Brock and Salk show. I just couldn't picture that red-faced always-laughing man as a young person.

Don Bitterlich is the first Seahawk to wear #4. He was a 1976 3rd round pick of the Seahawks out of Temple. He has the distinction of being the first Seahawk in two categories. He is the first to wear 4 and also the first Seahawk to score!
The first points in Seahawks history were from a 27 yard FG by Bitterlich against the St Louis Cardinals on September 12, 1976. He was released by the Seahawks after three games and never kicked in the NFL again.

Trent Dilfer. Guy was pretty solid here, if nothing spectacular. My best memory of him was an ugly duck scramble in the rain vs. the Cards in 2004. Up 24-21 with 2:18 left and Arizona out of timeouts, we had a 3rd and 6 at our own 24. He picked up an ugly 7 yards and fumbled the ball out of bound. It secured us a playoff spot, and kept us in front for the division, which we clinched with a win vs. Atlanta a week later.

The first Seahawk to wear #3 was kicker John Leypoldt. He was an undrafted free agent in 1971 out of Northern Virginia who signed with Buffalo. He was with the Bills until 1976 when he signed with the Seahawks. He kicked for Seattle from 1976-1978. Sadly, he died of dysentery in 1987.

This looks like the most chill kicker in the history of kickers.

First player to wear #6 for the Seahawks was punter Frank Garcia. He punted in one game in 1981 and had two punts. Consequently I could find no images of him in a Seahawks #6. He was undrafted out of Arizona State in 1979 and ended up bouncing around the league until 1987.

Here is an image of him.
